I have a generic Analog PTZ camera that operates under Pelco D (link to camera: http://www.slapshop.com/B000VZOAAK/PTZ_Day_and_Night_Color_Dome_Camera_with_SONY_super_HAD_technology__22X_ZOOM_Camera___Wall_Mount_bracket_and_Weather_Proof_IP66.html )
it is connected to an Axis M7001 encoder with a clean picture coming in. I cannot for the life of me get the PTZ function to work. Perhaps this model is just not supported. Is there any software out there I can use for free to test my RS485 connection to the camera ? I would like to get the Main Menu on the camera open so I can see what the settings are. I have no manual for this camera and I do not know the default baud or anything besides what is on the housing 'PELCO D' and 'Device ID 1'. There is a cable on the camera that is labeled RS485 and it denotes that orange is + and yellow is -, I have those tied back to the M7001 ports 3 and 4. I have the Pelco driver installed on the M7001, set to generic, and I have tried multiple baud rates with no luck.
Any help would be much appreciated.
