I am working on my school thesis, but I need some help. I have a task to make cctv system, but somehow I cant find out, how it can be done.
Imagine you have 14 IP cameras far away from each other, but they are one by one almost in a row. The longest distance from switch is more than one kilometer and shortest is just a few metres. Is it possible to use just one cable, lets say fiber one? I have only found way like this: http://images.dipol.com.pl/images/info/00010111101191.gif (where red cable is fiber one) but this will not help me because both cameras are connected to that L421 thing, which is obviously some kind of converter. Or wireless solution will be just best option?
