Thanks for the feedback, rory Wish i knew for sure what the pin layout was, though! David In the back of the DVR with the clip side to your left the pin out is as follows: Back Panel Pin# Wire Back of DVR ___ ________ _______________________ 1. - Shield - ground 2. - Yellow wire - Audio in from the camera 3. - White wire - Video in from the camera 4. - Green wire - Audio out to camera speaker 5. - Red wire - 15V out to camera 6. - Black wire - 5V out to Camera I hope this will help someone. -
14 camera on system. Only one has now begun to stop working every night for the last week. Any suggested in trouble shooting will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Help please. The Windows Media player 9 and upgraded to 11 both still cannot play the file. Says Codec downloading error or missing. Any suggestions. File created from V7.05 Geo System.

Try this player: http://bahamassecurity.com/Geo/GeoPlayer.zip Downloaded the file and unzipped it. Gave me a error message "Comdlg32.ocx" or one of its componenents is not correctly registered and will not startup. Please help. Thanks in advance.

for a friend who just bought the store and wants to monitor from his house. If someone could recommend one that are commonly used in convienience stores. He will need 8 cameras minimum to start and may add more later. Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Took your advice, rather than worry about the mobo, I just bought a new one + 512MB Ram for $220. Will let you know if I have any problems. PS the old mobo was a K7V-Dragon Plus. Via chipset all the way.

Using a AMD processor with 512MB Ram. Hardware and software installed fine for GV800. Geo software loads and runs fine without any cameras connected. When a camera is connected the pc freezes. I am stumped. Help please.

I think the chip has a cooling and a heat sink on it and it is besides the CPU chip. Also the mother board says Soho on it. If that helps any.

Hi Rory, this is a used pc and I do not have any technical documents on it. So what do you use to get the chipset info etc.... Windows system information was not helpfull. Thanks in advance

The manufacturer is "Veo" and the model is called "Observer"

"Veo Observer" is the software name. Tommorrow I will verify if that is also the name of the hardware company.

I have had a IP camera for about 3 years now and the other end is a software in the pc to view the camera. So is this the decoder or is it some additional hardware?

Newbie, I would like to know what everyone strips out of the operating system (WinXP) so that the Geo system on the pc performs at its best. I do need to have working: Networking Remote View DSP I have been reading for the last month and have not found any specifics but have downloaded nLite prog (don't know where to start yet) Thanks in advance.

How can I tell if it can take 16 video input. the card on the back has a black port for another 8 octopus cable. Currently I have a single 8 video and 4 audio blue octopus cable. Thanks in advance.

That was very clearly explained. Thanks. So now that I only have a 8 video card. What would I need in hardware to get the additional 8 more inputs?
