  1. Geez Louise bro...lighten up eh? It's Costco. Costco good. Mucho good. Yeah Yeah. I get like that when i get hungry. and it being a **** day. Leaving early going to the bar. Its 5 O'Clock somewhere.
  2. this almost make me want to return these camera and pay more from another company that knows what they are talking about. what a way to show that they are a whine bag little company that is a PIA. deleting post and playing games. this make me want to flash the firmware even more so you wont have to deal with them in the future. once you flash you can just deal with hikvision. I also dont trust that if you keep the same firmware that swan may try to give you an update so you can only use it with there NVR .
  3. I would not consider that to mean that there is a hardware difference. more then likely its just a generic value set in the software to be compatible with a device that is gigabit. the specifications of the hikvision version (DS-2CD2032-I) show it to be 10/100.
  4. great. now these cameras are going haywire. you know that only happened because i just ordered 4 of them. I may think it is the NVR? seems most the people on here that have the cams have them hooked up to a POE and there own software. I had a swan DVR that would make the cams do a rolling flicker thing from time to time. Try reducing your frame rate. I think there NVR/DVRs dont do well loaded
  5. This may sound alittle basic but just wanted to make sure. been awhile (15 years) since i been in networking wanted a gigabit switch but can afford it. so here is what i have 24 port cisco POE router 10/100 ports. With (4) gigabit up link ports. modem/router/wireless connected to DSL PC acting as a DVR 12 3MP cams at 15fps Other: Laptops, VOIP, Media Servers, etc. Connect Cameras, laptops, media, VOIP and basically everything but PC running DVR to the switch on the 10/100 ports. connect the PC DVR via gigabit nic configured local access only to gigabit port on router. connect 2nd nic in PC DVR directly to the router.

    Physical Layout of Switch

To free LAN traffic. When viewing the cams over wifi or over ISP the LAN traffic from the cams will be isolated so. Cams to switch to PC. From PC direct to Router out to wifi or ISP. Other way you would be running traffic back through the switch that does not need to be there. working on a itel I5 3.7 processor, 16 gig ram, 1 tb 7200 rpm sata drive. i have been good at killing things but we will see.
  7. I take that back. Small clue. I think i hurd of something like that with blue iris. People starting having problems after a version upgrade of Iris. some speculated that it was just an incorrect value being reported in the program rather then the camera slowing. dont know if anyone ever figured it out. be interesting to check frame rate while blue iris was running using a different program or something. not sure if you can do that?
  8. No clue. Other then to verified that it is reporting main stream. I had a cam before change the sub stream rate with slow dsl. But i did notice your bit rate was set to variable. doubt that has anything to do with it but worth setting everything at a fixed value till the problem is isolated.
  9. did you update the firmware? in the screen shot that is the same version number as the one the hikvision gave me. If you did not maybe the firmware is almost the same with some slight differences? It would definitely tip the scales of those on the fence if you get 3mp outta this cam.
  10. thats why you have perfectly good toes. lol
  11. are you using video analytics? what software are you running on that? looking for something like that other then motion detection but everything is big money.
  12. ok. i give up. anyone know where i can get dahua ipc-HFW3200S? if you have other camera recomdations that are 2mp with ir that is under $250 please let me know. Need help with getting about 6-10 cameras that will be in my budget range with IR.
  13. do you know what processor is on that board?
  14. I had too many already. lol So what did happen when u tried flashing. There has to be away. hell... programmers figured out out to get free directtv for years.
  15. Great. There has to be a way. did you extract the file. then log into the camera and go to the update option. from there it should find the file or browse for it. did you make it that far?
  16. This is not proQurement. This is linQage. IC....I will be rite over to update it for you
  17. You procure the correct firmware. I may do it. For the fame! For the trail-blazing! To boldly go where no Q™ has gone before! For my CamBudds! And because, why leave well enough alone? ftp://ftp.hikvisionusa.com user name: hikfirmware Password Hikvision123 (note the H is capitol ) folder: Hikvision IP Camera Firmware then look for: DS-2CD2xxx-I Download the 1st file dated 4/15/13 download, unzip, update.
  18. I was hoping you would do it. lol. I may order some as a trial. If anything..... you can always return to costo as defective if something happens
  19. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- talking with hikvision tech support today. Rep told me that if anything it would be set in the firmware at a lower resolution. contact tech support and ask them for the updated firmware for DS-2CD2032-I . that should make other resolutions available.
  20. I need both indoor and outdoor. thanks for the head-up on the WDR. that will save me some. As you can tell i am not that knowledgeable yet so thanks for the help. I am moving from an 600tvl analog that i had for 1 month. cant stand it and after 2700 email alerts in 1 week back it went.
  21. Looking at replacing a analog system i have now with IP cameras. Have a very tight budget. Talking $150 that can maybe be stretched to $200. not $201... i know what i am going to get.....but it hast to be or its nothing at all. anyway. I want something that is 2 megapixel and up, low light, 1080, poe, etc. i found DH-IPC-HDB3200C. Like it.....looks good great reviews for the price. but i have some areas with no light. some areas have object quite far that would require a external ir illumination. so that got me reading about ir cut filers, day/night cameras, lux, and digital filters. i have a headache. anyway. Here is the pdf for this camera: http://www.dahuasecurity.com/download/133611862242187700.pdf Based on the specs do you think this camera can be used with IR? I herd some cameras are now using electronic handling of day night rather then IR Cut Filters. do this mean that that can see and use IR illumination? I prefer the dahua camera listed above but my fall back camera with IR Cut Filter is the IPS-912. I cant find much info on the camera. I only have an amazon link to it. so i will copy and past the specs too at the end of this email. http://www.amazon.com/IPS-912-Waterproof-Network-Security-NightVision/dp/B00BIZ4ZGQ/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=MK2KZCS21IYM&coliid=I2OOTVEX0SA9AC I would like your overall opinions on the 2 cameras as well. I open to other suggestions . but for my first 3 cameras i am limited to amazon since I have a card there. Partly the reason for two choices.
  22. ok. i am going to keep looking around for the best price. i think you have me sold on acti. I was looking at the E53. It is alittle out of my price range ($279) but has WDR. whit out knowing actual camera placement do you think WDR is a must have? if i could find it alittle lower i would jump all over it. but i may have to give up that one feature.
  23. you should work in sales. do you have a source for ACTi ?
  24. I just emailed her and will try that first. I like the dahua. is the ACTi D72 sensitive to IR? I have almost no lighting outside.
  25. Need 8-10. Just dont like Swann. I am bad at math. just not that bad.
