  1. This has been answered before (did you read through the topic?) Yep, sorry, I mean has anyone actually used it and seen it do anything, I have it enabled on one camera, but I don't see any adapting going on.
  2. Anyone have any idea what SVC is? I think the 'gain' option is new too?
  3. That is strange because any NAS with a created NFS drive can be used. Good to hear that 5.1 might bring other capabilities.
  4. Wow, I'm impressed that you actually spoke with tech support, I have never got past being on hold for 45 minutes without the phone hanging up on me. They aren't worth calling. See the manual: http://www.lorextechnology.com/downloads/security-nvr/LNR200-Series/LNR200_SERIES_MANUAL_EN_R2_web.pdf See the section on page 40, there is an 'add' button at the bottom. I think this is used, not sure, I don't have local access to mine right now. Bottom of page 118 also to select a camera to mirror too. Use the client software, that might be easier. http://www.lorextechnology.com/downloads/security-nvr/LNR200-Series/LNR200_SERIES_CLIENT_PC_04012013.zip Then use the remote configure on the NVR. Select HDD and Network Disk Configuration, then add the device. See the images here. Add a NAS drive or a iSCSI drive, these become HDs, format them, treat them like a physical drive in the NVR.
  5. The 6 regular bullet cams are very small in that package, the other two are about twice the size. The 2 larger varifocals include the ability to store the videos locally to a uSD card too, for redundancy too, which is really nice. You don't have to use this feature.
  6. Does anyone know if I can add any Hikvision camera to the Costco system? Yes, it is a re-badged Hikvision system.
  7. Is WDR enabled too? Disable that. If the camera is facing a sunny area, I enable BLC - Centre.
  8. Maybe the similar issue.. ? viewtopic.php?p=232296#p232296
  9. Did you format/initialise it? This doesn't format the drive, it goes through and allocates space and create index files. I have got the NFS to work ok on a camera and the the NVR. I have not tried the iSCSI on the NVR, I haven't spent enough time to get that working.

  11. Create an NAS device on the NVR, this is an external network drive. The NAS drive needs to have an NFS share with no permission restrictions. Configure the NVR to continually mirror the data to the NAS drive. There are a lot of ways to do this in the NVR, per camera, per event, some cameras, all the cameras.
  12. The QSee NVR motion detection is very buggy, this is why I returned mine and got a Lorex instead. The red grid vs no grid wasn't clear to me either. You do not have to touch any configuration in the cameras, the NVR should send all config settings down to the cameras. It is buggy.
  13. Incorrect in this case, the NVR is detecting the motion, not the cameras.

    LNR280 series crashing

With all cameras connected, the IR use at night ups it to their max power use. That little fan inside doesn't do a whole lot, I would look at swapping that out for a real one.

    LNR280 series crashing

That seems very high, how did you measure it? Is that little fan on the case side still working?
  16. The more affordable varifocals aren't worth in my opinion, very hard to get a clearly focused picture.
  17. Camera2 is in a lighter location. Camera1 looks very dark. Put noise reduction on both cameras to 100%. Disable WDR.

    HikVision DS-2CD2112-I flashing at night

To make sure, is that camera mounted outside or is behind a window on the inside?

    Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I

Im having an issue with a swann camera that i updated via tftp...one of the resolution options disappeared. Trying to figure out what went wrong. What resolution went away?
  20. What are the tftp instructions for updating the cameras?

    HikVision DS-2CD2112-I flashing at night

The flashing is the camera alternating between day and night mode. Night mode turns on the led emitters.
