known issues with Intel 845 chipset & Geovision?

Had no problems with Sis, NVidia and ATI chipsets. To be safe - use Intel.

    remote viewing setup problems

It is not as difficult as it seems. First - install and register with DDNS service (included with your GeoVision CD). This service will show you your IP address you should write to access your cameras. Second - you have to open ports in your router. Access your router (see documentation, it could be something like 168.192.0.1, or 10.1.10.1 if you use Comcast cable modem with router) and open ports for the specific PC (if you use only one - should be no problems determining witch one). To make sure - open main Geovision program and check the setup - PC IP will be listed. This is PC IP you need to input to the router. For remote view you will need to open 3550. All ports needed for different applications are listed in manual. You can log-in with any of the password listed in the Geovision main program.
