In system tray,I did not see Milestone mobile, only see Recording service started, I search in computer, it did not see Milestone mobile server, what do I miss here ? I go to Milestone web site, I see Mobile server download for windows store, Apple, Android .I did not see anything for PC to download, I am lost here.

  7. Thanks buellwinkle , So I set 8081 or 8082 as TCP port, do I have to set UDP port ? I got used to with Dahua NVR and their cameras, they used TCP port 80 and UDP port 3777.
  8. Thanks buellwinkle for your quick reply. I finally found the way to access, all my problem is : I did not use the prompt to back space the word : localhost to make space for type in the IP address, now I can access to the Milestone server and view cameras. Thanks again for all your helps, you always at front line to help people. I let my 2 year olds Dahua NVR turn off and started using Milestone with newly bought a small size Dell desktop with Celeron processor (it is so quite only 1 fan for processor with external power supply ) wth 4 2MB cameras, after I read your article about Intel Nuc with Milestone in Network Camera Critic .
  9. I have Xprotect Go running on 1 PC, all cameras connected and viewable ( this is first time I use Milestone on Pc ), I would like to know howto set up another pc in same local network to view Milestone on that first Pc, also what software do I need to view on Android tablet ? Please help. Thanks.
  10. No, the pc which had Milestone software did the same way as other pc, at Smart client 2014 log on windows, no option to type in at Computer line, just localhost default.
  11. Thanks for your quick post buellwinkle, As I understand you stated : you can type in Milestone server IP address at Smart Client 2014 on the first line " computer " ?

I created basic User ID and pw in Management, but still not able to log in at Smart Clinet at other PC, on "computer" drop down arrow, it only have localhost available still not have space to type in anything. Do you think the Windows 8.1 cause the bug?I am a homeowner I am new to this stuff please be patient with me.
  13. I installed Smart client, but at log in screen, at computer line : only have local host, no other option can be type in, I used Windows 8.1
  14. What cpu processor and graphic on PC could handle 6 cameras ? I am interested on this setup. Thanks in advance for your informations.
  15. I wander if I set camera settings tru it's own CMS, when I connect it to Dahua NVR, is it still remain those settings or Dahua settings will take effect ?
  16. Dahua cameras have a reset button to factory default IP.
  17. Can I use this firmware for NVR3216V-P ? . It is new vertical NVR , my firmware dated back to 12/2012.
  18. I can view NVR tru my local network, but I Can not see it in my router devices connected, so I cannot setup port forwading for it, Is the http port # 80 and TCP port # 37777 needed to set for port forwarding ? I saw other port like UDP 37778 and RTSP 554 in NVR network settings, what are these ?
  19. I got what you mean. I had 4 different ports, but some how, the NVR set up have error like : application EDVR already been used by DVR,must be remove it from DVR before it can be use by NVR. So can I name any thing for different application name ? is this way work ?
  20. I though port 8X for HTTP, ports 8xxx. or 9xxx.. for TCP, I use canyouseeme.org to check port open all ports was blocked. I had to use ATT Connect tech ( they charged $49 for service )to do remotely open port 81 and 9000 for my Q-see DVR, we had trouble open port 80 and 3777 for Dahua NVR. I am stuck only 1 system worked. I even asked them to change to NVR only for port forwarding, but we still unable to make Dahua work. So I have to go back for Q-see for now. I don't like Dahua system anymore for remote viewing.
  21. mine is 38xx model, again, can router handle 2 systems?
  22. Thanks for the infos. I set NVR pickup DHCP IP then I change to static, now Router see It. I still have trouble forwarding ports 80 and 37777. Router showed error about : other DVR are using same application, it have to be remove before setup NVR. I changed application names, but still no go. Can router handle 2 different surveillance system ? DVR and NVR . Port 81 and 9000 worked well for Q-see DVR.
  23. me and AT&T tech checked my 2wire gateway router, we find other devices connected but not Dahua NVR or it's IP. I used home plug for Ethernet connections, router see my Q-see DVR but not show Dahua NVR Also NVR type had POE built in and cameras plugged in.
