    500 is for cameras and dvr card. All other stuff (cables etc) is outside the budget. I think, 25 ft cable would suffice. I can bring the cable icnisde. It should not be any problem.

    As the title says, I have been tasked to implement, ASAP a System to capture bird activity. The activity is mostly on a patio/deck where there is bird bath, feeder etc. Need to design a system to get clear, zoom picture. Constraints: Has to be PC Based System (already own PC ) Budget : cheap...approx $500 deck/patio is approx 14X14 Camera can be mounted on roof over hang. Need remote viewing capability.     building a PC based System, 4 channel, non IP Cameras. I was looking to buy Geovision GV 600 4Ch card. Is this a good card to buy ? Are there any better but economically priced DVR cards out there. Main Requirements are: - Sharp picture in color - Continuous recording - camaeras

    Designing a Retail System I am trying to decide if PC based DVR (capture card, HD, software) is a good idea or stand Alone DVR is a good idea. Looking for 4 cameras Please Help. Thank you in advance.

    I am trying to design the following system design for a small Retail enviroment. There will be four camares. Three of them would be dome type. The fourth would be Video Camera. All cameras have to be color and with better than average sharpness. Recording requirements: continous with 30 day storage. Dual recording for backup. Duplication: Should have capability to copy selected duraton to either USB Drive, DVD's or other. System type: What is better, PC based system or standalone DVR system (without Hard Drives). please assist in decesion. Cables: RG-59 Gold Web based remote Monitoring: Required. Monitor: Flat Panel, sharpness and color. Budget: Unknown. Buld as economically as possible. The command center would be housing the system, which is 350 feet from the retail shop. I am willing to follow up to websites and do the required reading. Just need assistance in getting this resolved as soon as posible, so I can move into ordering phase.
