Disregard my post I mis-read that you had a webcam Server issue and not a single webcam issue. Best wishes, Johnny

Not sure what type of camera you own. I would try to change the multimedia format (ex: H.264, MPEG-4, MJPEG, MPEG, etc) that you are streaming it might give you better luck. Depends on what options in the camera that are available to you though. I have seen cameras transmit faster and better when changing the media type to a different type. Less compression makes for less Lag and that means more images and maybe no hangups. Best wishes, Johnny

DVR display pixelated and scrambled
JohnnyCCTV replied to Alxcantan's topic in Digital Video Recorders
It sounds like the video processor might be going bad. If you have another Video output on the DVR i would try plugging that into the same or a different monitor. If it works then it might give you a little more life out of it. If nothing at all then it is bad for sure. Hope this helps and good Luck and best wishes, Johnny -
How do I wire rs485 PTZ correctly for two controllers?
JohnnyCCTV replied to beerstimber's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
It might be easier for you to have the Controller, PTZ and a monitor all at a desk to configure before installing. This will keep you from climbing up and down a ladder to trouble shoot. What you will do when installing and running your twisted pair cable for the RS 485 is to Daisy Chain the RS485 from camera to camera all the way back to the PTZ controller. (+ to +) and (- to -) from one camera to the next camera till you get to the end of the line and put those into the + and - RS485 of the controller. When linking PTZ cameras together make sure to see if the last camera needs to have a JUMPER Pin or a DIP SWITCH selected. Read all of the componets manuals and you will know if you need to do this. All of the fololowing information needs for the components to be compatible to work. 3 Very important things to have done already before installtaion SET ID; Now when configureing the cameras. You will do this independenlly each will need its own specific ID # an example is 001 for the first camera and the second camera will be ID # 002 and so on. This is uaslly done by a DIP SWITCH. Baud rate of each camera will need to match your controller Ex; 2400 Baud, 9600 Buad or whatever it is just make sure all peices will are the same. This is ussually done by a DIP SWITCH Protocol needs to be the same on all cameras and controller Examples are; Pelco-P or PELCO-D, HI-Sharp and many others; All peices will need to be the same. This is the language they will communcate with. Hope this helps and good luck, Johnny -
The Specs on this camera seem like they would work for all of FOV's. The IR range though is maxed out at 105'. I have used seen this camera and demo'd it. It has some great features, ZOOM (digital and opitical), WDR (it will clean up most areas to give you a great picture), SOLID light technology (it helps when IR is on and will actually enhance the image better than normal IR). It has a Power over Coax feature but you can still connect it over CAT5 0r 6 cable you just will have a supply power to the camera normally. Good luck hope this helps. Johnny

Equipment:Eclipse DVR Orb MX16 - Already installed and working Using Nemon Monitoring Software that came with the DVR. Problem: Nemon Archiving software not syncing correctly, even with all configuration of Firewall to manufacturer's specs. I'm looking for advice on the best archiving software to mirror the DVR hard drive data to an offsite location. Or someone more experienced to bounce some Firewall settings by Typically to record offsite you would use a NVR to do this. Not familure with NEMON or the EClipseDVR though. I would recommend a replacement to a NVR but then you will have to change out all of your cameras to IP models.

IP camera with 2-way audio capable of signaling smartphone?
JohnnyCCTV replied to jdoggg1's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I agree AVTECH is a good brand and with its PUSH VIDEO technology you will know right away ussually w/in 5 seconds on your smart phone that there was movement infront of the camera. You will need to install (Eagleeyes) an Application that is a free download in the Android market or the Apple Store. The version you want, the one with two way audio is the AVN813. It's also Wifi if needed. Easy to use also. JohnnyCCTV
