Hello, I'm new in here , oh, I love your choice of smilies !! I have a very cheaply bought 4ch DVR so no real brand name on it at all! Its OS is Embedded Linux, choice of PAL or NTSC It was cheaper as I could supply a used SATA drive. I am trying to understand in the set up and record sections SET UP says device ID 255 - no wory Device name Net DVR Overwrite yes / never - means overwrite image recorded if left on long enough ? Lock time yes/no ?? not quite understand function differences autoswitch yes/no choice I think - again - no idea meaning of function display off choice between never to 1 to 30 min - does this turn video screen off? In the record set up screens I can choose channel number, type , manual, alarm, MTD (motion) or sch(eduled) down the bottom is a copy to button with a choice from one to four, or all I sort of don't understand why if I select camera/channel above, what is this copy to function for? As a safety I have always set up one camera channel at a time and made sure ch1 is set to copy to 1 and is working but I do not understand its options if the channel number is different to the copy to number?? Any help is appreciated. Thankyou
