D&C_ELECTRONICS replied to Colin Diggory's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
To enable the network function you have to go on the following menu: Config -> Network Service You have to "Start" Live Streaming Service, Remote Playback, 3GPP, etc. If you want to make those Services autostart then go on: Config -> Settings and Check the services you want to make Autostart on Startup Menu -
Who makes GeoVision boards???
D&C_ELECTRONICS replied to kyrotech's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Geovision use UDP dvr boards just like Alnet and many more UDP have a unique Custome ID that is writen on the Board procesor . This make imposible to purchase DVR board directly from UDP and use software from a developer. 2nd Geovision move 1 step forward and use USB Dongle for protectintheis software. The same thing happen with the other DVR board manufactors like HikVision etc. Keep in mind that Software cost > Board cost. The companies had the same thought like you before you -
Seeking Ideas to improve CCTVForum for 2009
D&C_ELECTRONICS replied to larry's topic in Questions about this site
I think that would be better if CCTVforum become a Portal instead of just a forum. I think a 1st page with latest news about CCTV products (What’new) and Manufactures database with user comments about the products. Of course keep the forum session. -

Card Selection for Vista
D&C_ELECTRONICS replied to bptmanager's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
NUUO 5000 Series [H/W Compression H.264 (Actually is HIKVison Board)] works fine with Windows Vista. NUUO officially doen't support Windows Vista until they will be 100% for the compatibility. I have a Test System using 2x SCB-5016 Boards (32 Ch system) up and running for 2 months and works fine. Now If you want to keep the Cost down, you can chose SCB-3000 Series (S/W Compression). I 've installed 3000 series product on Vista and It also worked, but I haven't made LongTime tests of that. -

I have really good support from CNB and I was suprised hearing that they didn't reply to you. If you want send me a pm So I can talk to them about you. -

MegaPixel Video Recorders - NVRs, Hybrid DVRs, etc
D&C_ELECTRONICS replied to rory's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I'm curently use NUUO products. (www.nuuo.com) Actually is 1 software for 3 diferent systems. 1) DVR (Analog cameras) 2) NDVR (IP Cameras) 3) Hybrid DVR (Analog + IP Cameras) In one system we can have up to 64 cameras (Analog, IP or Mixed) NUUO has 2 type of Hardware for analog Cameras: a) Software Compression MPEG4 up to 32 Cameras b) Hardware Compression H.264 (HikVision Hardware) up to 64 Cameras. NUUO supports more IP cameras than other companies. It supports Acti, Arecont, Axis, Cieffe, D-Link, Etrovision, IQinvision, JVC, LevelOne, LinkSys, Lumenera, Mobotix, Panasonic, Pixord, Planet, Samsung, Sony, Toshiba, Vivotek, Zavio... More than 400 models. For NDVR NUUO has 2 products: 1) SCB-IP dongle 4,8,12,16,32 & 64 IP Cameras Licence 2) SCB-IP+ dongle 4,8,12,16,25,32,36 & 64 MegaPixel IP Cameras Licence For Hybrid solution you can just use a DVR Board and a SCB-IP dongle. NUUO software has advance Video Analysis (General Motion, Missing object, foreign Object, Camera Occlusion, Lose Focus, Signal Lost) and Instant Responce system (On Monitor, Sound, E-Mail, Signal, PTZ Activation, 3GPP) and many other functions Like Poeple Counting, POS Monitoring (POS will be Relesed in July) etc. It is importan to say about the last product of NUUO, the CMS, I work with NUUO for 1 year and I'm really satisfied with their products and the way that their R&D works. I also think that the price of their products is reasonable. -
I heard this from some Camera Manufactures. Pixim Sensor seems to be CMOS and not a CCD. I'm not 100% sure about this.
-
I have seen many Pixim WDR Cameras and I have to say that the image I saw has nothing to do with PIXIM Side-by-Side Images. I don't know If those image are real but I was not impresed by Pixim

Onix DVR card help needed.
D&C_ELECTRONICS replied to BREEZE's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
I used Onix DVR boards couple years ago. Onix use Chance-I cards & software. 1st of all, download the latest DVR software from Onix Website (DVR V13.10.02). Yoy can install the Board drivers only by using the Drivers Installer Utility (Installer.exe) Then reboot your system and install the aplication software -
cheap outdoor housing for Axis 207w
D&C_ELECTRONICS replied to metafizx's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
For a DIY Housing is Good. You can install this in your house. I don't know if this is a Cheap Solution. If calculate the time you spend to Bult this housing I think that this cost more that to buy a waterproof IP camera. -
We use this camera for long time and It is one of our best seller in the Greek Market. The default lens on this camera is 6mm. I suggest not to use 4.3mm cause the IR are not so wide. The IR work perfect for distance up to 10 meters (about 30ft).
