  1. I just got an excdn-56 and am very happy with the quality. I need to connect it to about 750' of cable and was hoping someone could point me to a good site that sells decent cable cheap. Or, are there any chain stores that are known for having decent cable? I believe what I needs is coax, twin 18g power leads and I'd even like to have another pair of coppers for future audio expansion, but that isn't a necessity.

    CAT5e or COAX?

I have a similar question, but my run is much longer - about 750 feet. Can I run cat5 for the video and double up for video (and perhaps even power)? I can do cat5 far cheaper than coax with power leads, but if it won't work as well, obviously that's not the thing to do. Or, as the above link mentions, UTP? Would UTP be better than cat5? Thanks for any feedback.
  3. But if it's still 18g, I should be ok, right? If not, can't I just bump the DC up on the other end to make up for the loss? In other words, if my 12V ends up being 9V at the end, I should be able to feed 15V and end up with 12V after loss. Any idea how much DC loss I should expect over 750' or is it all trial and error?
  4. Is there a specific link where they sell cabling? I tried to navigate around, but that has to be one of the most poorly designed sites (if they sell cabling at all).
  5. I'm located close to Boston, MA. I've never heard of those places you mention. A bit of web searching turned up this product at a reasonable price (free shipping and 1000' roll). Does this look like it will handle the signal/power over that length without issue? http://www.lowvoltagewire.com/product.asp?itemid=7&catid=32
