What would happend if a player drops a drink on the table and the cam gets wet or drunk and passes out.
-
Well at our front entrance the closes cam is about 25 feet away in the ceilling. Now in the cage area we do have lower cams ill say about 6 feet or just behind the cashiers. But they are fix cams with fix lens.So we cant take a close-up.Where it would be helpfull it would be in the tables to indentified card counters and cheats but again the ptz are too high and as you zoom in the picture comes in an angal. If it was up to me i would put a ptz right on the pit eye level with the tables. But then again the supervisors would get in the way of its view. I guess it would take a little more investing for this to work.

as they come into the casino most of the time they are looking around to see were they want to play so you have to be quick and zoom in so the system can take a diccent picture. If masked bandits were to burst in. The surveilance department will triger alarms and not only will casino security jump into action but so will the hotel and local police.

Hello all, i was wondering whats the best cam for a casino to be able to pick up clearly the cards and the table chips? If any one have any pics or have done casino jobs please let me know. The reason i ask is cause i work in casino surveilance and the cards and chips are very hard to indentified. We are using pelco ptz. But i was wondering if there is any other brand just as good or better. thank you.

Whats the best cam for a casino?
ayalas replied to ayalas's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Yes the glare from so many lights even on the roullette tables its hard to see the # the ball falls in. Also on the slot machines the lights just keep getting in the way. Thanks for the web sight g-man something i must talk over with the bosses. But as you all know casinos with so much money they make and cant invest in good cams cause theres no money for that. We do have fix and ptz all around the casino. What dvr do you guys work with. And thanks for all the help... -

e-maping how does it work
ayalas replied to ayalas's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
ok this dvrs are in a casino i have the lay-out of the casino where there is over 100 ptz and fix cams, the floor lay-out shows all the gaming tables as well as all the slot machines im thinking this e-maping would be usefull for the surveilance agents to quikly locate a cam with out having to go one by one looking for that cam or the location. especialy those new to the place. There are times were they have to be very quick if something is going down in the floor and all they have to go by is casino officers radio and most of the time they dont know were there at. They would say something like next to the atm machine or next to the dice table # 3 . Another question i have is if there is more than one dvr would i have to do one for each one ? Ill be trying this today in the casino ill keep you posted on it and thanks a lot for the info kao i was a little worry over how much space would this take on the hard drives... -
wrong password message
ayalas replied to ayalas's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
The agents call the dvr they need to see but when they try to log into that dvr some of the times they get a wrong password message. They are in a local position. For the processor speed and codec used ill have to get back on that im not at the casino at this time. Thanks for the quick response. -
Hello im new to this dvrs and i keep having these problems with the geovision 1000 they are install in a casino and we have 19 of them my question is that Why is it that the agents keep getting a wrong password message when they are typing in the right password on to log into the dvr? another one is that why does it freeze up on some playbacks and not others. any advice please thanks in advance...

Install Multiple Camera With Cat5
ayalas replied to inspire's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Only use Cat5 when you need to and use Active on at least one end of the run. The quality decreases, as it would with Rg59, but at closer distances. Active is Amplified so that fixes that issue. Its not recomended to use power throw the same cable your using for data. But yes you can connect up to 4 cams using boluns with cat 5. -
