I'm thinking about the same system. I hope someone answers this thread. I had recently bought a Lorex wireless system (not HD) and found it to be terrible. The wireless range was barely 30 feet (through one wall), the video quality was poor, and the motion detection software was useless. Support took more than a week to respond to simple questions, with trivial non-answers. I returned the whole thing, so I hesitate to get another Lorex. I'd really prefer a wireless 1080P system, but I guess wireless isn't quite up to the task, at least not in systems under a couple of grand.
