  1. i have a client who wants to install a CCTV system on his office and he wants to view it remotely on his computer. the problem is, he wants to buy a taiwan brand cameras (conventional fixed dome cameras and Weatherproof IR cameras) and will just use a China brand DVR capture card. my question is that. Will the cameras from taiwan be compatible from a China brand DVR capture card? because i haven't tried that kind of installation yet. i've been pushing him to use a Geovision Capture Card since it's our main product that is distributed on our company but my client wants a china brand because it's cheaper Inputs will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  2. thanks guys for the input. the dvr is not a us brand. it's a china brand. i went to my client and see it for myself.
  3. Thanks rory for the reply and that funny comment i definitely agree on what you said there about stop being cheap actually i offered him first the panasonic cctv and then after that i offered him the rover cameras but he decided to use to taiwan brand cameras. actually the quality of the cameras from taiwan is better than other china brands. i've installed several of them from my other clients, as long as you know what kind of camera that you will install on that particular area the result is adequate enough. plus you add a Geo card our client just told me that he will be using a SecureLink capture card. i looked it up and that brand is from us. anybody heared that or used that card? and the card cost around 75-80 USD
  4. thanks so much kensplace for the input i will have to confirm it first from the client if the DVR capture card will support ntsc or pal tv system because he's not sourcing the DVR capture card from us. but as for our cameras which is from taiwan can support ntsc and pal tv system. i really didn't have any problems on my other installation because i'm using the Geovision cards which compliments well with our cameras which we are selling. as for my client i just told him that i can only give warranty for the camera's and installation and if something happens with the dvr or the quality of the output of the dvr rest assured i can't promise a warranty for that thanks again
