It uses server motion so you may need a more powerful pc for 12 cameras. An i7 perhaps... You can have a 12 camera view. Does it allow the user to view 12 cameras at once? How resource intensive is it?

Its very nice. I like the timeline search and the mobile interface (ipad) a little better on avigilon though. Its more simplified. The user interface on blue iris mobile is a little more complicated.

2 story home? Off the eve of the roof was the only place we could have run the wire without using flex hose or pipe outside the house. The house had to roofs, one was low and the other was higher. The pool camera happen to be on the higher one. I think it's a pretty good shot of the entire pool looking down onto it anyway. He has children so he definitely wanted to entire surroundings of the pool.

Just shows that camera for less then 150 is competitive with some avigilon thats would probably be close to 400 bucks.... Oh wait Avigilon hide MSRP so dealers can charge you however much they want.
