    GV800 & A Multiplexer

Thanks guys for your help! I got the problem fixed. I moved some of the power cords around. I had them powered into two serge protectors pluged into the same outlet. I simpley seperated the two. I now have the Mux and the computer connected to two seperate outlets. Hey Roxy, Question? You seem really knowledable with Geo items. If I installed a Geo loop card, would I achieve better results then from using the loop throughs on a Mux? Is the geo loop card just a pass through from the cameras or can I have more image control to use on the Mux. I guess what I am asking is can I control the Mux picture quality better by bring the camera from the geo card to the mux? Thanks again for your help! Phillip
  2. Hello All, I would first like to say, what a great forum. I have been reading for a while and finely decided to join. Thanks! I wanted to see if anyone could help with a problem I have been having? For the last year I have had a GV800 card installed. I love the program, it has so many options and it runs great, no problems at all. I also have a Robot MPV96P-30 Multiplexer that works great when connected and distributed to several TV’s in my house, using a 4 way distribution amplifier. The problem is when I connect the Multiplexer to the Geo Card. I am getting a distorted picture on both the Geo program and the distributed TV’s. I am running the cameras into the Multiplexer and looping them out to the Geo Card. I basically want the Geo program as my main system and to use the Multiplexer to view on the TV sets. Can the cameras go into the multiplexer first or do I need a Loop through Card and run them into the Geo, then out to the Multiplexer. Or is the problem somewhere else? Like I said both systems work great separately, with excellent pictures, it’s just when I connect them. The results kind of look like, when someone turns on the microwave when you’re watching TV. Just wondering if anybody had any ideas? Thanks a bunch, Phillip

    GV800 & A Multiplexer

When I get home tonight, I will double check, but for the most part the lines are horizonal and diagonal, wavy and are going up on the multiplexer screens. On the computer they are not as bad, but are black horizonal and going up as well. It is all the camera's. I have even uppluged the power source's and connections to the computer and did one at a time, it had the same effect. What is strang? I can get the BBC connection a 1/4 of an inch away from where it connects and the screen starts up. Can a DVR card in a computer and a Multiplexer be plugged into the same room? I have also checked my wire runs and there not running over any big power source. Just seems like Im getting interferance somewhere? Thanks again!

    GV800 & A Multiplexer

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yea, I have them set to loop through when tring to connect to the Geo card. When I disconnect the wires from the card the TV screen gets bright and I have to switch the termination switch to the 75ohms termintion. The multiplexer screen then looks normal again.
