Did the flash go off when you had taken the photo?

    Under vehical inspection system

I use an under vehicle camera just about every day on a military base so hopefully I can help. I do not know what your situation is so I'll tell you what we have. There is a yellow bar on the ground with four cameras with a mild fish eye to them. There are also some normal lights between the lens' for illumination. (The inspections are done in a covered bay, sunlight is an issue at certain times, but the vehicle covers it for the most part.) In the guard shack, we have a monitor and 5 buttons. Button 1 is marked "quad" and shows all four at once. The other 4 are 1,2,3,4. This is useful if a vehicle is not centered over the strip. That way I can go to #1 or #4 and maximize my view. I tell the others not to use the quad because it is too much to try to view in real time and you have to drive slow in order to see anything.

Coolest camera I have ever seen

Wow that is great! The two screen split section they show on the road at the end is a great secondary camera I could use down the road in my project if it goes anywhere. Any idea what the price is on that? They say it does not require much processing power but I have to disagree. I think it requires a LARGE amount of processing. You have to convert the doughnut image into an image we can understand. Notice how the framerate is reduced in the user images. A better processor may smooth it out but I do not know.
  4. I am working on a little project here, a bit different from the norm. (robotics project) I'll tell you what I will need this to do, and hopefully you can tell me what I need to get! 1 Wireless. 2 Fixed color camera, IR is a plus, thermal gives you a big hug. 3 I need this to zoom. 4 Needs to be able to bump around a bit and not get distorted. I wanted to intergrate this into my computer because the robot would be controlled from a laptop. Because of this, I am not sure if I will be able to operate both from one window because some keys including the mouse would control the robot, and another key would have to control the zoom. (This could be worked around with wires from a zoom lens) I don't actually have to "see" anything from the robot control standpoint, just the camera view, but I have to maintain robot function. If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them. Thanks for any help you can provide! frank
