There's been a lot of break-ins in my neighborhood lately and I would like to get a camera system for my house. I am a total newb at this stuff and I have an idea of what I would want from various searches and youtube reviews but don't know which system would fit my needs. Here are some ideas of my wants;
- 720p or greater cameras w night vision capability (I don't know if there are different night vision classifications)
- iPhone app that will ping in the case of an event
- Adjustable event windows via the software
I don't know what the advantages are for DVR vs NVR. Any help with pros and cons would be appreciated.
I know there is a bunch of other criteria that I'm missing but as a newb, I have no idea what to ask. Thanks for the help!
