16 channel... Thanks How do you feel about those pc based cards? The ones that I have seen the live video feed is very slow and choppy on the PC based. If you know of any good pc based ones, coudl you please let me know of them.

Try setting a static ip on the dvr then ping the dvr's static ip from the router/gateway. Ive had problems with dvr's not being recognised by some router/gateway untill I ping the dvr's ip with the router so that it is recognized.

I was curious if any of you would know a good solution for me. Im looking for a standalone embeded DVR with loopout ports, that can store atleast, hopfully more then 500GB and those are the basic functions that I am looking for. I have found a couple but they are all more then $4,000, Im looking for something a little less then that. If you have any suggestions, please reply. Thank you very much -Tom
