  1. I have a IC Realtime Breeze HD 4 channel NVR with two I.P cameras connected, one is 1.3mp and the other is 2mp camera both powered by POE from the breeze NVR and both made by Qvis which i know is compatable with the breeze nvr. The NVR is connected directly to my router with a cat5e cable. Everything works fine direct on the NVR connected to monitor via Hdmi, I can view both camera's anytime live and playback Recordings all ok. Problem is when accessing remotely on my laptop on the network or away from home on the iphone or ipad app, I'm not able to view one of the camera's live in realtime (mainly the 2mp camera) it just shows a black screen, but does have the camera display name, (like its there and connected) The other camera shows up ok most of the time, but sometimes I can't get either camera's. I've tried changing various settings in the encode menu with no luck. But I can playback recordings from both cameras perfectly away from home with the apps. Strange thing is, if I power down and restart the NVR it all seems to work perfectly again in all functions, but this only lasts for about 3 days. Then I get the black screen sometimes on the realtime streams again. Any advice much appreciated. i've run out of ideas and am not that technical. I spoke to IC Realtime and they just said that i should of used their cameras for perfect compatability, but it's just weird that it all works fine after a reboot for days, sometimes weeks!
  2. Hi all, still got pretty much the same problem with this breeze nvr from IC Realtime. When using the app on my iphone or ipad, it all connects ok, but when i select either camera i just get a black screen, it feels like the stream is there but just blacked out. It's ok for a short time after i kill the power to the NVR and reset. Playback on the app's is always fine with no problems from either camera. It's just realtime viewing that i have a problem with. Any new ideas anyone?
  3. my upload speed is about 1mbps the bitrate for the extra stream is set to 1024kbps
  4. Hi, I have a 4 channel Breeze HD NVR from IC Realtime, which I have two 1.3 MP dome IP IC Realtime cameras connected to, which all work fine. I'm now trying to add a third camera which is a different brand, It's a Hikvision DS-2CD2132-l 3MP network dome camera. Problem is my NVR doesn't see it when connected. I thought it would automatically plug and play and connect, or do I have to manually configure the NVR to see it? The camera is powered by POE from the NVR, could this be a different POE power rating or is that a standard rating. The IR's seem to Light up ok though. Or is it the case that these brands are just not compatible? Any suggestions or advice much appreciated. Regards
  5. just checked through the manual that came with the camera, those settings are not listed. does anyone have an idea what they could be?
  6. Hi, yes I've been told it's a onvif camera so it will be compatible with my nvr. I just have to manually add the camera (device) to the nvr. so i'm trying to do that, but the nvr is asking me for the following details of the camera: RTSP port HTTP port I.P address user name password decode buffer remote channel So anyone know these details for my Hikvision 3MP IP camera? or how do I find it out? I can only power my camera from the POE built into my nvr, so can't access it direct with a local 12v psu, I just need these values then I guess it will connect to my nvr ok. best regards
  7. I know Qvis dome IP camera's work fine with the IC Realtime NVR, I thought all IP cameras would have a universal connectivity
  8. Hi, Looking for some advice please. I have a IC Realtime 2TB Breeze HD 4 channel NVR with 4 x 1.3 Megapixel IP Infa-Red Cameras connected. each camera is connected to the NVR via a Cat6 cable and powered via POE from the NVR. The NVR is connected to my broadband router and i have broadband speeds of about 4Mbps download. Just want to confirm the best possible encode settings for the camera's to get the best possible picture quality without losing too much recording memory on my Hard drive. All four camera's are recording 24/7. The thing i'm really not sure about is where to set the Bit Rate on the Main stream and Extra Stream? Does this setting effect the quality of the picture locally and when viewing remotely, can someone explain this to me in simple non-tech terms. My current Encode settings are as follows on all 4 cameras: Normal Stream - H.264 encode, Resolution 1.3M, frame rate 10fps, Bit Rate Type - CBR, Bit Rate - 1024kbps Extra Stream - Resolution D1, frame rate 10fps, bit rate type - CBR Bit Rate - 1024 kbps Best Regards M.
  9. Thank you everyone so much for your input and knowledge, it's really helped me get to grips with this, and i'm sure it will help others searching this great forum in the future. I'll be raising my main stream and doing lots of bit rate tests this week for sure! Best Regards
  10. That's why i'm asking for some advice, i'm not a cctv installer. How do i check my upload bandwidth? If you mean by speedcheck, i just did one and my upload speed is 0.838 mb/s So what should i set both the bit rates too? If being the same makes no sense. Sorry i don't understand it. many thanks
  11. Hi, need some help please. Have a IC Realtime ip cctv system that I installed at my office. It has two ICIP-DIR1300 ip cameras connected to a Breeze 2TB NVR box. All is good when viewing direct on the NVR and the connected monitor, but when viewing remotely via the ICRSS PRO app for iPhone or iPad, the image has jaggerd edges, Like along the straight lines of the camera view. See attached photo taken on the app. Is this normal? Or can I adjust things in the settings to make this look a lot clearer remotely.
  12. Hi, Need some installation advice please, I'm gonna attempt to install myself, first timer! save some money! It didn't really come with any installation instructions. I bought an IC Realtime Breeze 4 channel 1TB NVR with 2 x 1080p IP IR camera's model no. ICIP-D2000VIR again from IC Realtime. I'm Gonna mount the camera's externally and run cat5e cables to the NVR from the cameras with POE. Now the camera states it has a 3-9mm varifocal motorised lens, How do i set this up for optimun viewing and focus, there's a little joystick on the camera itself (F,N,T,W ?), but it seems hit and miss, or can i control and adjust it from the NVR software itself? Whats the best way to position and set-up the camera's for best picture quality, range and focus? Also how do i set up the NVR for access and viewing on my laptop, i guess i have to download the client software from the IC realtime website, but how do i pair it up to my NVR and Camera's. Someone told me i need a static or dynamic IP address, is that true, and whats the difference between the two? and how do i do it? I will want to access my NVR when i'm away from home and abroad on my laptop. Any help or advice much appreciated. Mike
  13. adjusted the bandwidth settings and frame rates, now picture is pretty smooth when viewing remotely. But when looking at straight lines (like on a door, car or railing) the picture looks a bit jaggery (like sawtooth) i've tried to adjust with the motorized lense the N & F, T & W settings, but it the images still appear this way. It does look like a HD picture, but just thought all the lines would be sharp and clear as well. Is This Normal?? They are Full HD ,1080P, 2 megapixels camera's.
  14. yes still choppy, will the flow get better if i reduce the frame rate, it's at 25 at the moment
  15. Anyone familiar with the ic realtime client software for windows?, I can access my NVR on my laptop through the network, with the software i downloaded from IC Realtime. But find the realtime picture is a bit steppy, not as free flowing as on the NVR itself. Is this due to bandwidth and can i improve it? Also am not finding it very easy to playback recordings on my NVR, is there a quick way of scanning all your recorded stuff without knowing the exact time or date of a certain event recording?
