Folks,
I'm looking at my first home security DVR based system. Need 4 outdoor & 2 indoor cameras.
I'd like to get 5 years out of this investment.
Looking at a 8 channel Lorex system that comes with 6 POE cameras and a 2 TB Hard drive.
System is rated at 1080p with HDMI output so it would easily plug into my home theatre system.
Remote iPhone monitoring is a feature this system has (that I value).

I shot down similar systems from Q-See & Swann already. Am I missing some significant flaw with the Lorex system? I know about the loud fan and can live with that.
I'm looking at a DIY install. My other option is to pay an installer which is far more $$ & they put in EyeMax DVR's.
