Weird Particulate "blowing" at night Hikvision ds-2cd2132-I

I sometimes get the same issue in North Florida just before sunrise for a short period of time. I assumed it was the mist from my sprinklers or tiny gnats/bugs. -
Here is a review about the camera: http://www.networkcameracritic.com/?p=2011 Be sure to read the comments at the end of the review for more info.

I bought one also and it works well. I mounted it on the passenger side of the rear view mirror where the camera sits below my windshield window tint line and the suction cup is above. I am using the following MicroSD card: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009QZH7BU/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hikvision NVR and Camera Pre-Installation Questions
floridaguy replied to floridaguy's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
That's like, a huge issue. What have you tried to problem solve that? What browser and all? Are you all set up correctly with DDNS? Here is my info from another thread I started. viewtopic.php?f=12&t=38020 I don't use DDNS as I have a static IP that changes maybe once a year. I have tried Chrome and IE. I think your issue might have to do with browser config instead of network config. What version of IE do you have on the computer that can't view the video stream? Have you modified the Active X settings in IE? Since you can check and change settings just fine in the browser, I doubt that your issue has anything to do with ports. -------- I will check again tomorrow at work but I tried both Chrome and IE. I lowered the overall security level in IE and chose either prompt or allow for any setting that looked like it mattered in the ActiveX area. I am going to take my personal laptop to work and try it as I know it works with both browsers inside my network. -
Hikvision NVR and Camera Pre-Installation Questions

They are all 2.8. Here is what I meant with splitting the NVR feed to both my TVs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPcbVXV1Ic -

I posted in that thread and my substream has returned and all works great except for the video feed. The iPhone app works great and I use it all the time. That's like, a huge issue. Hikvision NVR and Camera Pre-Installation Questions
floridaguy replied to floridaguy's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
This was my first home security purchase and I am very happy with my Hik NVR and domes. I had lurked the site for a week or so just reading posts and then asked a few questions and ultimately decided on those items after reading some posts made by a user on this site. I followed some links to a review site and found a link to an online store. I assume most NVRs are able to do this but I like that I can control/manage my NVR from within a web browser both inside my network at home and outside my network away from home. I also did the trick like others have suggested by running a network cable to an open POE port on my NVR so that I can work directly with each camera for extra settings not available through the NVR itself. I mounted a 32" TV on the wall in my bedroom and split the signal with a long HDMI cable through the attic to a TV in the living room. Now while sitting in bed or on the couch I just select the HDMI input on the TV and my cameras pop up. While in the living room it is only 2-3 seconds for them to appear on screen going from regular TV to the cameras and I can easily switch back and forth if I need to see outside without getting up. My only running issue is that I am unable to view the video feed while outside my home network from within a browser. I can connect to the NVR itself and make changes and do everything except see the video in the window. The iPhone app also works great. The only thing I would have done differently would be that I wish I had bought one more dome originally, something like a varifocal with sound for the front door so that I could position it just where I wanted and set the FOV just tight enough for the location and capture that area much clearer. -
How I keep spiders/bugs off my outdoor cameras
floridaguy posted a topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I am new to this forum but I wanted to give back something in exchange for the great help I have already received from other members so far. We have a lot of spiders and bugs in Florida and it was a problem for me until recently when I observed a company at my job testing our smoke detectors and I had a pretty cool idea. I took a Solo cup(also tried big gulp type cup) and attached it to a pole like an old broomstick for extra reach and used it to cover my dome while I sprayed(soaked) the eave and all around the dome with a can of Hot Shot. I did this several days ago and have yet to have any spiders or bugs return to hang out in front of my domes. My hope is that the residue will keep them away for a week or more before I apply another coat of spray. This is a picture similar to what I made and how I got the idea from the contractors at work. -

Hikvision camera missing substream option
floridaguy replied to milkisbad's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I have the same issue. I put 130805 on 3 domes and lost the substream option in the NVR for each. I am now wondering if that is my problem(another thread) and why I am unable to see remote video through the web browser if it is trying to send that feed and is unable to. This is what I have through the web interface since updating my DVR to 130620 and cameras to 130805. -

The Gateway for the NVR is the same as my Linksys router 192.168.1.1. I have an SA cable modem provided by Comcast with nothing configurable as a residential customer that i have ever seen. This is it: http://www.amazon.com/Scientific-Atlanta-DPC2100R2-Cable-Modem/dp/B002V41X2M -

Unable to remotely view NVR video through a browser
floridaguy posted a topic in Computers/Networking
I am unable to remotely view my NVR video through a web browser but I can use the iPhone app just fine as well as connect and do everything within a web browser while within my home network. I can remotely connect to the NVR and make settings changes and pull/review the system logs but I cannot see any video. I have installed the plugin and checked my settings in my router and NVR. I was hoping someone could add anything I was missing. Attached are my settings:
