Wao! that is genius! With ONVIF device manager I was able to create a new admin user and change the settings of the camera. Now I am in. Thank you very much 51cent.

I bough the camera in the below link. Yes, I know, I shouldn't buy unknown cameras, but it was cheap enough and I want it to try it. The seller is not help at all. They told me the default IP was 192.168.1.123 and the login credentials, admin, admin. I had to use wireshark to discover the IP, which is 192.168.1.66 and the credentials admin, admin, do not work. I need to login to the camera to change the IP address so it match my network. I was able to make the camera work with Milestone Xprotect Go, but it won't allowed me to change the IP though there. I am looking for any suggestion on how to login to this camera. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/1-3-PoE-Cable-Night-Vision-CCTV-Millions-HD-IP-Digits-Infrared-IP66-Waterproof-Network-remote/32596547492.html

IP Camera Viewer for Windows

I am running 8 cameras at 3 MP -
I am using Milestone XProtect with Hikvision cameras and I am happy so far. However, when I use the web client to see the cameras or the mobile application it bring an i7-3930K 3.2 GHz to its knees (100 % CPU use). Do you know of a simple IP Camera Viewer Application for windows just for live viewing that can take the H.264 stream from the camera?

Connecting Hikvision to Outdoor PIR
gonzogg replied to Brenning's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I do have an exterior PRI connected to a Hikvision DS-2CD2732 camera and it works great. I do get some false alarms in a windy day, but I think if I lower the sensitivity of the PRI it will take care of that. I only use it for the camera to send me a text if motion is detected. I only have one in front of the house and I would like to the the same for the back and sides of the house. The idea of doing it with a Raspberry Pi or an Arduino sounds very interesting and economical. But I have not found any evidence online that it will work with a regular external PRI instead of the small naked toy like PRI that you can buy for this devices. -
Sensors for xprotect or similar for trip and motion?

buellwinkle, Do you know if the Arduino works with a regular PRI, like an Optex LX-402? -
PoE IP Cam Short circuit
gonzogg replied to gonzogg's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
PoE switch is fine. I replaced the cameras with another ones, and they are using the same switch PoE ports. I have the three damaged cameras on my desk and they work with external power supply, but not PoE. -
PoE IP Cam Short circuit

I just used an external power supply in one of the cameras and it works. No luck with PoE so far. -
PoE IP Cam Short circuit
gonzogg replied to gonzogg's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I did covered the cameras, but not the connectors, and I didn't use the waterproof adapter that came with the cameras (big lesson learned). People make sure to waterproof the Ethernet connector. The plugs looks ok, however, the led doesnt't turn red when I connect the camera to the switch, like no power is getting to the camera. That's why I think it was a short circuit. -
I covered all the cameras and sprayed for spiders around the house. It looks like liquid got into some connectors and ruin 3 cameras. I am assuming because a short circuit. Any idea if this cameras can be fixed? They are Hik DS-2CD2032-I

Email notification on my Hikvision cameras stopped working. Everything worked fine for a week and without changing anything, it stop working. The curious thing is, it works with a regular email address, but not with with a cell phone email to text address. I though the cell phone provider (AT&T) was blocking this emails, but, if I send an email from the email account it reach the cell phone. Cam sending email to username@yahoo.com, it work Cam sending email to cell_number@txt.att.net, don't work PC sending email to cell_number@txt.att.net (Using the same account that is setup in the cam), it work I have also tried another cell provider with same results. Have anybody ran into this issue?
