$300, would like to record on SDHC card in a format that I could strip out the audio to a file. Then I could use a visual representation of the audio file to quickly assess where, if anywhere in the video is worth looking at. I have a video editing software and audio editing software on my PC.

Hi Would like to find a single cam and dvr to watch over my car at night. Car is parked directly outside of porch on driveway, but no street lighting so pitch dark at night. Would like something small that I could set up inside porch each night and remove during the day. Would only need to a range of 6m. Would like it to be large enough to record continuously for 8hrs. Would accept b/w only due to costs, but must be clear enough to id people. Mains access would not be a problem as it would be installed in porch. I've wasted money on a cctv with led IR lights only to discover that IR light bounces off windows and blinds camera! Thanks in advance.
