Thnks guy for your help. I was out of town just got back, now the runs are approximately 150 feet each and they are mounted on a stucco wall. The camera I'm using can be found here. look for item# SC15G and the lenses are item# LM212. For power look for item# PW154. I had cut out the ends of this power unit and connected the ends with the 59 cable. Now I notice this power unit is Max. 1,500 mA. Would this be not enough to power these cameras or do I need to get separate transformers for each?

I added 3 new cameras to an existing installation. Old cameras are working just fine but the newly installed cameras some times goes on black screen then come back on randomly. I'm using RG59U cable and they are squeezed together in a pipe, would there be any kind of video interference in this metal pipe? any ideas or suggestion would be appreciated.

Hi guys, I've been reading this forum and I like what some people have suggested in terms of using Cat5 cabling. I have a newbie question though. I understand that I can run 1 cat5 for up to 4 cameras but do I need to run 4 separate power lines to power up each camera?

I really appriciate your help. gv-data does not have serial only stricker. physical distance is less then 10m. Actually I have gv-com and I have tried connecting thru this setup as well.

thanks for the reply. I got POS connected to data capture (V2) thru DB25 interface. Veriphone printer is connected thru same interface. Databox is connected thru DB9 (Serial port) to GV-system. I did my testing on hyper terminal on gv-system (computer). here is link for printing mode manual http://www.geovision.com.tw/english/faq/POSflowchart/The_printing_mode_of_POS_system_cash_register.pdf I get some thing like figure 1 on page 7 of this manual. This makes me think I got connections right but the problem is some where in the software settings.

Hi, I really need help with this. I have connected my pos with gv system and I think i'm connected fine. The reason I say that is I tested communication with pos to gv system thru hyper terminal and I can see the data in hyper terminal window but no text relay on the screen it self, please help. Is there any special settings that I need to configure on the software? I'm using ver. 6.1.
