So I misquoted a customer, 8 channel DVR I was gonna order 8channel DVR AHD which is $400 and I know you get what you pay for but this customer doesn't want to pay a lot I misquoted it and if I order everything and do the job I'll make money but wondering If there was another system you can recommend. Or just eat it and learn from my mistake the good thing is I don't have to run wire

Most people breaking into places don't even see the cameras haven't you seen the videos where people leave webcam and they don't even notice it well what I would do first is get a security system if you can't get one with a company just get a DIY you need something to make noise and deter. Also yes good quality is a great tool to have but if he is hiding his face and arms with a solid black jacket your in the same boat. Good quality cameras are good to have for different reasons but I'd always recommend another source to deter break ins and okay noises seem to work well especially if the cops arrive shortly after.

Okay im trying to setup a toggle switch that when it is activated it energizes the door strike and keeps it locked except when cards are swiped, i tried to connect the toggle with a 2 conductor coming back to the panel and a relay on the panel side connected N/C on toggle switch and of course the relay being powered by constant 12v which that is what the relay runs off, i couldn't get this to work also in programming i changed the egress to N/C, any ideas or maybe other inputs i can use on the board that will be easier i am only using a 1 door board.
