  1. I think you can disable the firewall temporarily, after that you can simply check using any port checker tool which you could help you understand which port the DVR system is using.
  2. Majority of the DVR can be managed through PC remotely and their CMS software are capable of downloading the recordings. I have never installed any avtech DVR but in AMC work I have upgraded my customers DVR from avtech to Hikvision so I could let you know that The CMS software can be used for taking backups. Or else you can go to avtech website and you can tell their technical department about the problem you are facing, only they can give you the proper resolution.
  3. Stop using these cheap products, better go for some branded products. I would suggest you to go for Hikvision DVR cards, or I think there are some Dahua DVR cards also available. The prices are not so high and the product quality is also good.

    But i don't think you could calculate exact coverage range, since it is dependent upon the height on which camera's are installed. Those who need better surveillance should always go for smart tracking cameras with intelligent video management.

    Need Suggestion For Hikvision

    Hello Guys, I don't know whether you know about the latest Hikvision PICADIS Camera or not ? I wanted to ask if anyone has used it so please let me know about it's reliability and it's working. These are 720 TVL with 1.3 Mega pixel supporting resolution of around 1280 X 980 something.   6. Hello, You have to buy a cloud based dvr which is tried and tested for tata photon dongle. I know these kinds of DVR, contact me if you need one.

    Lost DVR Admin Password

    Check on the above link, I think you will get the proper solution. Their is an option for hard reset on the Hikvision DVR but i don't know in detail about it, never faced these kinds of problems during any installations.
