If you are running free air run a coax for video as well as the cat6 for control. I have had issues with cat6 and baluns when running near high voltage such as in a factory. If it's in pipe then I wouldn't worry about it and just pull the cat6.

The bandwidth on the network should not be an issue. Your 11 cameras streaming h.264 at 3o ips will put you right around 100 mbps. As long as your NVR is connected to a gig switch that won't be an issue. My concern would be the NVR itself . I generally see people using those capture cards as a way to cut cost and give the old workstation in the corner a job. What are the specs of your NVR? The limiting factor with IP video is rarely the number of cameras and much more often the throughput (amount of imformation it can handle) of the NVR.

Your dvr should not be set to dhcp. Set it as static or at least reserve dhcp then go the the status tab of your router and check what it says for WAN IP. If the address is in your lan then the issue may be your modem is still acquiring the external ip address and assigning your router an address from its dhcp range.

I have spent the last week fighting with the NAS recording feature build into my camera DS-2CD2112-I. I have read every post and article that I can find about this issue and still can not find a solution. My set up consists of a CubieBoard (https://www.miniand.com/products/Cubieboard%20Developer%20Board) running debian. I followed these instructions to setup the NFS server (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SettingUpNFSHowTo) The drive is mountable on any of my home machines (windows, OSX and Linux) as well as it is recognized by the camera. The drive displays as "1.56GB 0.00GB Uninitialized NAS R/W" under the storage management. I have tried various drives ranging from 2gb to 1tb but all display as 1.56gb. When I format the drive it instantly goes to complete and remains uninitialized. Any input from anyone with experience is greatly appreciated.
