I have a simple Honeywell system with 4 dome cameras. Setup to view over the internet. They are connected to the system with something like this: https://www.mat-co.com/merchantmanager/images/uploads/A-400BNC_F.jpg
I want to add 1-2 night vision wireless cameras. One would go on the side of the house (40 feet from wifi router) and one by the front gate (25 feet from wifi router). There is already a RJ45 cable running to the front gate but I want to setup a gate striker(like buzzing people in) with this. I want to also add a monitor at the front door to see the cameras (mainly just the front gate but flipping through all of them would be nice).
My questions:
1) What cameras would you recommend? (Something under $100 would be great)
2) What kind of wires should I run to the camera locations? (I would ideally only want to run power as RJ45 is really expensive)
3) Would it be possible to run a camera through the rj45 but not use all 8 wires (would this bring power)? I think I might be able to run the striker with just 2 of the wires.
4) Would the simplest solution for the monitor in the front be cut a hole with power and put a tablet in there.
