the distance for the one run I tried was only like 20'. The wire that came with the cameras is 50' It is a Swann system. 8channel I'm not sure if the cameras will support 24v or not.

I have a new home with Siamese cables to each corner I have tested voltage from the power supply to the ends of the wires. 11.5 THe cameras work if I use the wiring that came with the cameras If I connect any camera that line of the power supply gets really hot and it will eventually burn the power supply I've checked for crossed wires I've checked voltage I've since got a new lockbox type of power supply. I've tried it on two connections with the same results. two different cameras is it a voltage drop issue?
