none, toss it in the trash. You will need at least 1080p and a long lens... -
AHD DVR in car. Off and on and off and on?
Boogieman replied to Silhorn's topic in General Digital Discussion
buy a dashcam and stop screwing around. Or buy a dedicated mobile DVR unit. -
dahua has cvi HD cameras that are backwards compatible. better yet replace the dvr with a dahua cvi dvr. You dont need 36x when you have much higher res.

Thread watched Hikvision/VMS LPR Setup
Boogieman replied to JohnSmith1952's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
That's easy to answer ...... IP is cheaper and more reliable and upgradable and cost less to install. Analog would just be a waste of money and like you have said PC or server is also needed which is we're the cost is I meant regular cameras to be analog HD (TVI,CVI,AHD), HD-SDI, EX-SDI, conventional analog cameras, and IP cameras, all of which do not carry LPR functions themself. LPR is supposed to be done by PC or server for multiple cameras. If VMS is employed, PC must be there for system integration. another post where sunnykim has no clue...stop posting misinformation. Please, for the love of god you china scammer. -
avoid this link and any advice from sunny, he links you to his own store.

Hiwatch Vs Annke Vs Reolink POE / NVR - Recommendation?
Boogieman replied to 2583's topic in General Digital Discussion
You have not done your research...reolink and annke's amazon reviews are mostly fake . https://www.fakespot.com/product/home-security-camera-system-reolink-8ch-4-megapixel-1440p-video-security-system-2pcs-1440p-outdoor-bullet-2pcs-4mp-dome-ip-camera-65-100ft-night-vision-330ft-transmit-range-2tb-hdd-rlk8-410b2d2 reolink is a garbage lying company... annke is mostly as well, though SOME of their cameras are simply rebaranded hikvision... there are much better options out there,, search.. -

What IP Cams Have Native Night Vision Comparable to SkyBell?
Boogieman replied to PeteCress's topic in General Digital Discussion
Which one do you have? This one calls out to me because of the price and being turret: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA6JS5HM2884&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleMKP-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleMKP-PC-_-pla-_-IP%2FNetwork+Cameras-_-9SIA6JS5HM2884&gclid=CjwKCAiA15vTBRAHEiwA7Snfc9yGQCh8vOygZlazvBcwxnu2fG9Is3WFYu1u8NCdUoyO6ZC7wfwNYRoC6O8QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds I bought a couple Dahuas a few years back, but was turned off by the proprietary software needed to do camera setup (i.e. no built-in web pages). Every so often, when the money just starts spilling over, I think about doing an all-ACTi system because of the low resource needs of their camera hosting application - which seems to offload a lot of processing to the individual cams.... but I have no clue about ACTi's low light performance. there is no proprietary software needed to setup dahua cameras, nor was there ever... acti is crap. All manufacture vms and nvr's use the cameras motion detection to trigger recording....you are severely misinformed... the skybell has no better night performance than any other 1080p camera... -

CCTV Footage magically cut at the exact moment crime was com
Boogieman replied to SomethingFishy2018's topic in General Digital Discussion
They will only give it to police and the officer at the scene said there was nothing they could do. This was after waiting 14 hours on premises for the officer to come. Clock is ticking fast. this is not a murder, they will not analyze the footage.....even if they did, what would they do with it? post it on the 10 oclock news and hope for an id of this "unknown man"? Your laptop is gone...start shopping for a new one..
