First, I am in america, we can bash anyone we want...you see, we are not censored here...I know its hard to understand for you. I earn no money selling cameras, NVR/dvr's..you are making stuff up. I make no money promoting them...are you suggesting that costco, qsee, amazon, swann and hikvision are all paying me? Please tell me why someone should buy your low resolution junk D1 kit over this http://www.amazon.com/SecuQuest-VSK8313-K1X-Surveillance-4-Channel-Outdoor/dp/B00P04FYIY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1439953512&sr=8-2&keywords=ip+camera+kit Same price....again, please stop promoting your low end garbage...enough is enough. I dont know how you sleep at night.
-
Wow, how did your prices drop so fast? bad example anyway...its more like 300 vs 400...because you need to compare the quality of the cameras and DVR. Also dont forget about the benefits of IP, cheaper to install because you dont have to homrun wires....easy to setup dual storage locations in case the NVR is stolen...and more importantly MUCH better image quality. Again, enough of your junk analog D1 cameras, you can sell those in china or third world countries..not here in the USA, we know better. If you want to simply look for the cheapest price I can find you an IP 720 kit for 170...you just need to add the drive...sold in the US on amazon...

Low resolution analog is not smart, its stupid, very stupid. Again. IP is plug and play also, what part of that dont you understand? All you need is a POE NVR..match NVR to cameras. Easy peasy....maybe its too difficult for you...I know.. The video clip can not justify U$1000 vs U$100. Try to be smart, please. Where are you getting 1000 vs 100..now you are just making stuff up and is PROOF that you are a liar and scammer......and even at those prices it justifies it...a recording is useless if it cannot ID. 4 cameras system with 1tb drive and NVR...399....1080p with 2tb drive, 799...where are you getting your numbers from...100 dollars will barely get you a hard drive....And no one needs your companies junk DVR cards or Junk DVR's. Please show me a kit with 4 cameras hard drive and DVR in the US with warranty for 100...if you do, i will paypal you 100.

How to know when someone cut the cable of my IP cameras?
Boogieman replied to benleow's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
I dont believe op is using SS on synology, he is simply using it as a storage server. benleow, simply install and configure Synology surveillance station Its not simple...there is a fee for more than two cameras (or more than 1 depending on the model)...there is also the fact that the units are limited to low frame rates with multiple high res cameras. For example the popular consumer DS215j maxes at 60fps for 3mp recordings...so if you have 8 cameras you are limited to 7.5 fps. -
You are not helping the poster. CRT monitors are cheap and simple...no one users them. Tape recorders are cheap and simple...typewriters are cheap and simple...why are we even using pc's......
-
Yes they do. Stop intentionally lying, you know that is NOT true. For IP to be plug and play, you simply need an NVR with built in POE ports...otherwise if you use your own switch you need minimal network knowledge... If you really wanted to help, you would say get a dahua NVR with POE built in...but you dont. You intentionally mislead. Stop it. You know very well that IP with the POE on the NVR is plug and play if you get the same brand NVR and camera. Analog is crap...stop recommending low resolution analog JUNK in 2015. The fact that your company manufactures it does not make it the right choice. He will be able to figure this out with the help of users on this forum. I will offer to login via teamviewer and help him just to get you to shut-up and stop lying. He already has the gear, why are you giving him poor advice? Its really upsetting to see you do this because I know that you know that ip with matching NVR is plug and play. The only folks still installing low resolution analog on NEW home and small business installs are ripoff artists selling low end junk to end users.

Okay, I have connected the NVR to the poe switch, and connected the poe switch to my rounter ( apple airport extreme ).I understand that when I connect an NVR to a monitor it should show up something - but it doesnt show anything. As well, the NVR turns on then reboots in a couple of minutes. try putting a drive inside...some will reboot if no drive is present. The camera will never show unless you properly configure the NVR and camera...your first objective is to access the camera via your pc's web interface.
-
yes, if the NVR does not have poe and you are using a switch you need to enter the ip address of the camera into the NVR....dahua generally comes static from the factory at 192.168.1.108....if your router is not on the same subnet you will first need to change the ip address of the camera. Okay, I am slightly confused if I have done everything correctly. Does the NVR need to be connected to a router connected to the internet? Do you connect the Camera via ethernet cable through a POE Switch into a the same router? Does the NVR require a hard drive to be installed for it to work? Maybe you could give me a basic idea of the layout of what needs to be connected to what? Now I understand: the camera goes through a poe switch into a router. The NVR goes into a router as well. Then I can open the camera through the software through any other computer connected to the ethernet? You can do this several ways...easiest is to connect the camera nvr and router to the poe switch.... The NVR should not need a drive..it may beep if no drive is inserted. What is the ip address of your router? if its not 192.168.1.xxx then you will first need to configure the camera to match the routers subnet. To do this you should be able to use dahuas config tool...or this method https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJe7facsxxE

Okay, I had done the following: Camera - connected via Ethernet Cat5 to the POE Switch POE Switch: connected via Ethernet Cat5 to the DVR DVR: connected via VGA to a monitor I turn on the system, but on the monitor nothing shows up. Maybe I am connecting something improperly? yes, if the NVR does not have poe and you are using a switch you need to enter the ip address of the camera into the NVR....dahua generally comes static from the factory at 192.168.1.108....if your router is not on the same subnet you will first need to change the ip address of the camera.

Sunny I know from your posts that you know better than that. So PLEASE stop misinforming the poster. These are true HD cameras as you can clearly see from the spec. The nvr and the camera are NOT using mpeg4 but rather h.264. The reason why its the listing has the TVL and mpeg options is simply to let the user choose the type of lens, 2.8 3.6 etc and to allow choosing different options in the NVR like poe and the amount of channels. This is done because ali express does NOT have the option to let the vendor input the lens size. There are NO analog sensors on Dahua cams..the tvl numbers are added by the vendor in lieu of selecting the lens size. The vendor does the same think with hikvision cameras http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Original-hikvision-3megapixel-3mp-array-30m-IR-Network-Dome-DS-2CD2332-I-support-POE-free-shipping/638300_1396985171.html Do you understand now? You are deliberately misleading the op...these are the LATEST cameras from dahua. You know this and a purposely misinforming. Shame on you. Please stop recommending old analog junk to users. If 80 dollars for a camera is expensive then you are in the wrong line of work. Also please note that sunny works for a company that sells analog cards for pc...analog should not be used on a new install of this type. The only thing the op should confirm is that the NVR can support 4mp..its lists 5mp and 3mp...I am pretty confident that it will record the 4mp..worst case set the camera to 3mp.. Hi Boogieman, I have received all of the items. Are there some sort of directions which I can follow so I can connect the system properly? If you bought the dahua nvr with the dahua camera, it should be plug and play...
-
You are correct..the camera has to be a native 2mp camera...running a 4mp camera in 2mp mode will not help... Some of the new hikvision 4mp cameras have improved night..not sure about the new dahuas.

One point of clarification...there is very little increase in actual clarity as measured in pixels per foot between 2mp and 3mp...most of the extra resolution goes to the extra vertical viewing area....the 2mp will perform better in low light..

Need suggestions on NVR bundle or building a system
Boogieman replied to thetester's topic in General Digital Discussion
Start reading the megapixel portion of the forum there are tons of threads about various systems and brands. Look at hikvision or dahua and their rebranded counterparts, swann and qsee (available at costco)... -

Boogieman replied to thetester's topic in General Digital Discussion
Its relevant because if you have a stucture there you can mount the cameras closer. Any kit you buy will be useless to you...you need cameras with serious zoom if you want to watch activity 40m away. You are looking at expensive PTZ cameras....figure out a way to mount the cameras closer. -

What is located at the 40m distance that you need to monitor? -
Way to connect HDTVI/HCTVI cameras to onvif compliant NVR??
Boogieman replied to djrachman's topic in System Design
its not an encoder, its a dvr. They call it an encoder because like all other modern dvr's it can stream to a network device. Using this method is a terrible idea. Just buy the ip camera. -
Data recovery on Hard Drive used in lorex Eco2
Boogieman replied to secplus's topic in Digital Video Recorders
try getting a hold of the same exact dvr and try the hard drive in there. What brand is it? -

It is cheaper to buy the ip cameras vs paying for encoders. You are also adding another failure point to the setup. Spend the extra 40 bux on an ip camera or just get a TVI dvr. -
Are these camera and nvr compatible?
Boogieman replied to fy6900's topic in General Digital Discussion
Likewise...though im surprised that your failed to promote your companies junk D1 products as an alternative to 3mp HD. What happened they stop paying you commission to peddle your junk to unsuspecting users as "advice"? Nobody sells a junk, if staying on business more than 20 years. Hoping that you make ends meet, enough commisions from 4MP Chinese cameras. Yes, hikvision, dahua and costco are all paying me or do I own those companies, I cant remember anymore. How stupid are you? You are the one promoting your companies D1 junk, please stop, its really not fair to the end user. -

There are newer better hikvision cameras...look for local sellers with legitamte firmware or you will have issues... Look at the hikvision turret camera, its a better design than the bullet. There is a 3mp 2332, and a 4mp http://overseas.hikvision.com/en/Products_accessries_159_i5636.html\ the 4mp has better night and low light vision as demonstrated in the images shown here -

Well i certainly will not recommend the crap D1 resolution the Sunnykims company sells. If you have nothing useful to add, then dont comment. Stop being upset because I called you out on trying to sell your companies junk D1 resolution cameras that should NEVER, under any circumstances be installed in 2015, NEVER.
