I have done numerous network camera installs and have recently been trying out Content Delivery Services for streaming live video and audio to portable as well as desktop clients.
I am looking for a remote portscanner that only looks for TCP ports using rtsp. Reason: Most ip camera manufacturers do not have or provide accurate information about how they implement the 3GPP and rtsp functions of their cameras.
One of the issues I found is that many times the rtsp stream must be requested from a client...using PLAY command etc, but how do you know what port the camera is listening to? I know manufacturers want to monetize everything including selling "specialized" software that merely adapts the International standard to the manufacturers implementation.
I have about 5 pages of MFG data about specific MFG and model for rtsp methods used, nut many of these are incorrect or incomplete. If I knew the EXACT working specification concerning rtsp BEFORE I buy the camera that would be a good solution.
Does anyone out there have an idea how to solve these issues?
