DS-2CD2632F-IS Installation
empedokles posted a topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hello. I need some help in installing this camera on Win XP. It's connected to my router and the cable (cat5e) goes trough an TP-Link injector. The CD that came with doesn't have the model on it's list (there are just older model numbers). How to install and use it? -

I wasn't able to login into this Hikvision surface. I now disabled DHCP on my router (by disabling the checkbox at the bottom): I then could login for the first time to the hikvision surface, but it didn't last long. Obvisiously Windows XP itself does still DHCP: -

What makes you think it would be a "better" choice? Having the IP on your camera change randomly seems a good choice to you? If I disable DHCP it shouldn't change randomly anymore. -

SADP doesn't have such a menu, do you mean ivs4200? Where do I disable DHCP? (It seems to be the better choice.) -

I haven't tried yet. Still would like to run it on Windows first. Obvisiously my Windows XP does DHCP and I haven't seen a setting to set the cam in SADP to allow DHCP. Maybe DHCP is the problem? -

Funnily by stumbling myself upon it, so much for easiness. -

Well, I actually got the varilens, because someone here told me it is achievable from the outside and an easy process. -

By copying the available ethernet settings from my iMac IP 169.254.84.34 Subnet 255.255.0.0 and setting the found camera to this same parameters I got liveview. Seems the camera is alright then. What do I have to loosen in order to turn the zoom wheel on this Hikvision? -

I don't have Windows or Fusion available, but Installed iVMS4200 on OSX Mountain Lion. I could see the camera (running on 12V, I can see the infrared Leds at night) under 192.0.0.64 and give it a name. But how to access the image/video in iVMS? -

Still won't work on Iexplorer or Chrome. The only positive thing is I haven't expected any reverts since external powerage. Is there a SADP for Mac? Back going through router/injector if I change the IP to say 192.168.1.29 or 31 I won't see the Hikvision login-surface. That surface still appears independently under 192.168.1.64 if I set the cam to 192.168.1.29. -

I hooked up the externaly powered cam directly to the PC now and still got this "Network unnormal" message if I try to login to Hikvision over firefox. Internet explorer 8 doesn't even show the hikvision surface. There is some network diagnosis message (attachement). -

With the same settings? IP: 192.168.1.64 Gateway: 192.168.1.1 ? -

I ordered a cat5e for the PC to Router connection. Found this in my cellar. Will it work? -

I doubt there are many people from Switzerland here. Why can't I use the cam without the injector directly on my PC? If the injector would be faulty, why can I ping the cam? -

I tried it with the shorter cable. Still got the network unnormal error in hikvision and it then sets the camera back to factory defaults. I don't have a better machine handy currently. Can't the ipcam be used without going over the router somehow? (maybe the router is the problem?) -

You mean I should replace the 30m with a shorter cable? The one from the Router to the injector is 0.5m cat5e already The cable from the PC to the router 1.5m cat5. I have only cat5 cables left though. I have an iMac from 2007 with more RAM with no router (I reckon I couldn't use the cam straight from the Ethernet slot here on my PC) and I'm not sure if I can use Hikvision on a Mac. Attached also a few pics of the funny reverts (the build changes!). -

I seem to get the same. Intel Core 2 CPU 6300 @1.86GHz, 1.58GHz 0.99 GB Ram The cable which leads to the router is by the way cat5 and not cat5e. Is that a problem? -

So far it didn't revert anymore now. I don't have a 12V supply. I bought the injector intentionally for this camera (because I was told here to do so). Do I have to access my router and give you what's written there? -

Ipconfig says: IP-Adress: 192.168.1.40 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Default gateway 192.168.1.1 In SADP the settings are as following: Ip-Adress: 192.168.1.64 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.1.1 Although I already used this settings yesterday. I now saw the Hikvision box in the browser this time. But if I try to login there comes a box: "Network unnormal" Sometimes it reverts the camera to factory-settings afterwards. -

Hello Ipconfig says: IP-Adress: 192.168.1.40 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Default gateway 192.168.1.1 Port in SADP is 8000 by default. SADP is reverting the values to factory defaults after some time. -

Just downloaded iExplorer 8 for Win XP. And set Gateway to 192.168.1.1. It says the website can't be shown either. What next? Shall I look up my Subnet adresses somewhere in Win XP? -

Altered the IP adress (and the IPv4 Gateway) both to 192.168.1.64. Firefox is just showing a blank (white) page with the name index (it takes a while, but no error). While Chrome couldn't establish a connection to http://192.168.1.64/ -

Okay, I can see it with Hikvision SADP. But if I open Firefox 26.0 and try to access 192.0.0.64 I get a browser loaderror / timeout instead of video. What to do? -
Which network cable do I need?
empedokles posted a topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
My router is about 30-35 Meters away from the Hikvision. What is the best method to go with the eternet cable trough a wooden-window?
