Nice little box... http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/14268_na/14268_na.pdf Page 12 of 80- Which power supply do you have? As a test, disable all hardware you added. Try matching the specs from pdf, to your power supply. Admittedly, I too am a little stumped, though strange things like this are typically power related. -

Would not have guessed that. I was thinking- Blue, Orange, Green, Brown, Slate, or Green, Red, Black, Yellow, etc.. That looks like a mix of USOC sprinkled with 568b. Had I been faced with this dilemma, I would have carefully cannibalized a known working device and ohm'ed it out. -

Can access feed through wan ip, no video

Careful, dont post public IP info. Setup DDNS ...think its free? https://myq-see.com/reg.aspx HTTPS also provides better security. That IP you posted im sure isn't static, most likely dynamic (changes after a while) You'll need to read up on port forwarding though. The DDNS setup is easy, no worries. I don't know where you are but HTTP is port 80, not 85, and when you say MAC are you refering to the MAC address? Oops, meant Apple/Mac Yes, 80 is HTTP, for some reason I was thinking his DVR is set for 85. OP, check port 554 (RTSP) ....Should've suggested this first. -
How do you find a good residential installer?
english replied to imaniguana's topic in General Digital Discussion
If you were in Los Angeles area I'd be happy to help you. 30yrs of communication experience- If it beeped, ticked, had flashing lights, I worked with it. With or without a keyboard. Once you select the person or business, Google them. -
1 router is at home attached to the DVR, another router is a small portable hotspot which can be carried around. Both are from the same ISP, the one connected to the DVR is running on public ip however the portable hotspot modem is on private ip. Does this matter ? I repeat, on any other network I am able to view the cctv via browser by keying in my DDNS and on phone by downloading a free app and keying in the DDNS as well. Its just that somehow I am unable to view it from the "same network" . Please help . I will be happy if someone can guide me to reconfigure the whole thing again as this is my first time doing it, so I am assuming that I did something wrong somewhere. Connect thru "Portable Hotspot" and check your ports. http://canyouseeme.org ISP might be blocking Your DDNS http or https ? Hotspot's are notorious for blocking ports. Just out of curiosity, are you using VoIP with hotspot? on edit: Here's another test, using a proxy server http://goldproxy.eu/ below type in your DDNS addy

your average special ed Geek really am new to security cams, however, am not new to pushing data. week ago received my Cosco nvr + 4 1080 cams, 10min later had it disassembled. plans for adding second drive will coincide with four new cams. Since ive got multiple networks in my house, the whole port thing was fun. Also pushing cams (not all) thru WMC with DVBLogic IPTV. I really like the iphone mobile nvr apps 4g/wifi Grover
