  1. I have a Swann Pro-530 cameras mounted outside, all works good. Last week I installed christmas lights - big bright LED snowflakes... As soon as I turn those lights the cameras will start going crazy, meaning they continously switch between day (color) and night modes,,, back and forth every 5 seconds or so. There is this loud "click" sound associated with switchign between day and night (infrared) modes. The lights are about 3-4 feet away from the camera. This of course triggers motion event and records endlessly through the night. My questions: 1. Is there a way to force these cameras into day or night mode or adjust the sensitivity? 2. Will they break eventually if they continuously through the night keep switching back and forth? Based on the loud click sound I presume there is a mechanical action involved in switching between infrared and regular. 3. Is there a way to configure DVR to ignore motion events resulting from switching from color to black and white when there is no real motion? Loaded question but I hope I am in the right place. Cheers!
  2. Thanks. I fixed it (for now) by putting small piece of electric tape over light sensor (i figured thats what it was). By permanently covering it I am fooling the camera to think its dark and it should turn on the night vision mode. No more switching back and forth - lets see how this will work during daytime.
  3. I don't believe the cameras have any menus - i will look into this thanks. The thing is Christmas lights do not blink - they are set to constant light, yet the cameras go crazy flipping back and forth.
