Was looking at the geo options, just something in megapixel to repalce the main camera looking at the coin machine and pickup number plates along the front row of the site, as the current install are just cheap analouge cameras (supposedly sony chipset- starlight) but the images are average, so yeah it's a version 1 - gv1120, so would have to upgrade the card to go to 8.3, but this may also fix the issues with iphone / remote view on his mobile phone, he only needs one more camera, so woudl suffice with 8.3 atm, it's very hard to get support for Geo products here, cheers

Or setup detectors through out, to trigger on motion, and then the camera scans to that point, using the I/O's but ptz cameras on tour, will constantly record, and use up ur storage space, and when there is an incident, it may take longer to find it.

There is a lot of confusion in relation to the following 2 brands. As the above chart shows, they are of the same company, but 2 very different divisions focusing on 2 different market. However, one product they both share is CCTV, hence the confusion. All Samsung CCTV products are of good quality and provide good performance. However, one thing we cannot ignore is the fact that, Techwin's (formerly Aerospace), emergence as one of the world's best cameras within just a few years based on its own technology, is nothing short of amazing. And there is no sign of slowing down. They are committed to constant R&D, taking advantage of their in house vast resources of most highly advanced technology and engineers. Just a glimpse of some of the new products that are lined up to be released is very exciting. We hope the following comparison chart will bring some understanding between the 2 products. what prompted me to post this was this email Dear Sir or Madam, Thank you very much for your early reply. Please kindly check the latest DVR Card price list as attached in this e-mail. I enclose two lists, one for full DVR Card, another one just for GV Card. We regret to say that we have no models of GV-2000 & GV-1240. The Card GV-1480 we sold it at US$380 last month, but now only sell at US$320. Our clients order this card every month. All the GV Cards from the list are sell very well, especially GV-1480, GV-800-V and GV-650. We feel sure that you will feel our products satisfactory if you test our samples. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. --- My reply Is this authentic GEOVISION? Why does some cards only support version 7 s/w Also why no stock of 2000/1240 cards? How bout 1120? -- His reply Dear or Madam, It is made-in-China DVR card, as you can see from the pricing. But no special differences in features and functions. For the GV Cards except GV-1480 & GV-800-V, they are very stable for GV software 7.05. Our GV Cards are very appreciated by our customers. All the GV Cards we sell are included in the price list. For more products information please visit our website ***removed** (not promoting dodgy) or online factory from online demo which using our IP cameras at:http://www.**removed* Our company have branch factory in India and Germany, and all products are CE, FCC, ROHS approved.

Are there any decent wireless cctv cameras??
mcs replied to DeathtoToasters1's topic in Security Cameras
I 2nd that soundy- rca to bnc adapters are common I have used heaps of wireless cameras and hardwired and connected wireless transmitters to them, hundreds of meters even a km on one site, the antenna and transmitter o/p power is the key, need to be punching a decent signal out .5 to 1w or so, and the antenna is important, needs to be directional for cheapies and or high gain... I use the TP link 2.4ghz range.. -
Just upgraded a customers site to 8.2 on a gv1480 card, with 15.tb hdd space (3 x 500gb's) they used to get 30-35 days on 12 cameras in a servo, highest recording rate, max res 720/576, etc etc, and they get 66 days now Have another site with 2 gv 1480's we just upgraded to 8.2 and we put 3 x 1tb's, one dvr has 16 cams other has 6, they are getting since 9th Dec to now, and still got 1.15 tb to go, I love h264 v2 and GEOVISION.

guys just networking my office dvr, has an issue with viewing on lan, anyone have any ideas have set the active x to prompt in security settings under internet options errrh
-
Not exactly new to this bud, have done that double checked even anyways
-
Still an issue with this one, anyone else having issues with IE 7? Its not working on 2 pc's locally on the network.
-
CCTV_DU..was referring to OSX, not window$, two totally dif OS's. The architecture of the mac these days with Intel cpu's etc are not much different to the everyday pc, its just the Operating system (osx) and browsers, as apple don't support M$oft for which I don't blame them. We use safari, but we haven't tried viewing, one thing well have to play with at work, just time....( we are the authorised sales and service centre for the region now )

You can, just set your bios to share more mem to your onboard video simply, the ext video card is used to put less strain on the machine, if you have lots of ram and your MB supports OB video, then use it we have heaps of times, depends ont he mb we are using at the time, sometimes cant always get the same mb or suppliers change boards for price, supply or issues...

Still looking anyone?
