Yep have been using geovision since 2003/4 I wouldnt use anything else My own gv650 is installed here 6 cams Will post pics when I get time of the new Samsung 4150 IR cam sweet

I wouldn't bother with less then 10 on each camera, Unless they are not important, because its always the frame you miss when the guys face is looking right at the camera or what ever, Time lapse was about 5-6fps, and how bad was that on 16ch multiplexer, Why bother going digital if its lousy footage You can always use SMART recording and have the dvr pull frames from cameras with no activity to bump up the ones with activitiy on them Its not hard really

I purchased some ptz's and cars off jet view cam, the cards were counterfeit, Geovision arent interested, other then telling me to buy local, I sent one card back got a refund, the 2nd card was in a machine and was sent back, im out of pocket 3500 for a 2nd system for the client while this is going on, it has been delivered, and he refuses that he received it, I have confirmation from Hong kong post to say it was, and i cant claim insurance because it has been delivered, Ken lui says he moved offices, but failed to advise of new address till after I sent it Help

Better to get good frames and plent y of them, then 240-380 @ 2.5 fps like most PC based DVR's out there, Waste of time A guy took over a site we put heaps of cameras in, he rebuilt one of the dvr's because they have been installed for 4 yrs and never been serviced He didn't make any adjustments to the settings and didnt even put the site name in so its recorded on the footage Just whinged about the latest version being better then the old one , der My mate had his wallet stolen, one dvr was offline because when he rebuilt it, he didnt plug it into the ups- and the other where he moved all the cameras around and replaced a heap for the new owner, were out of focus and we got the mobile phone that got stolen, but its fuzzy, not going to be good proof.. so 1 week of PRIME footage is better then 2 mths of crap !

I do shop around I have and do use many brands, Im not brand orientated, but the samsung range is pretty good, I have used Ness, Kobi, Bosch, pana, sanyo, IFCS, Ganz, Sunkwang, LG, cp cam etc etc- Theres one guy who primarily uses bosch here, so what have you got to compete against when theyre all selling the same stuff- plus the least my opp knows about my business the better More then one reason I dont buy where they buy.... Working smarter not harder

Ok -- refrased Best for price and quality- Ikegami and Pana is great but the price, plus your competing against people with larger discounts and better buy prices... Just doing a quote for 2 more 16ch machines and 2 dozen more cams for a site, ...Geez cant get away for the bookwork again

VITEK VTD-MVH2910DN any IP68 camera will be fully waterproof. Have you tried the wdr of samsung domes, they go to low light with SSNR to cut out noise, Best Vandal dome aroudn I think IMHO 4150 / 4020, cheers
