"It will display a black sceen for the interval time on camera's not selected. There needs to be a skip camera option. It appears to be a software issue," My supplier replied with this " think we have found the problem. Being a software multiplexor it isnt skipping the channels properly. We just found the same problem on a GV2008 system with a multiquad card."

Partition your drive, or use a dif drive for os (preffered) 20 gb for OS and the rest for footage Name 2nd part video 0 video 1 video 2 for the additional partitions, Seems your setup is incorrect

Id highly recommend the Abit LG-95 mb, it is future proof for all series of Intel cpu's I use the core2 duo cpu, but you can use a p4 or lower cost, you can always ug to c2duo later if nessacary they rock I use min 2gb corsair value select ram, but 1 gb is fine XP home is fine- If u use 2gb ram, then you can share with vga. This way you can skimp on vga/pcie card to keep costs down I have listed specs on latest builds in the " list tested pc's" in the thread above this.

Or just use a SMART switch if you change the setup and this will auto sense the connections and you dont have to change the cables, from straight thru to cross over very handy but a bit dearer then a normal switch /hub Straight thru (a) greenwhite / green / orangewhite / blue / bluewhite / orange / brownwhite / brown for crossover (b) change the green/orange pairs It helps to keep it std so you can just pick up a cable and see what std it is, otherwise as long as the colours match at each end then it dont matter how they go can start with brown / orange / blue /green or any choice

I agree ip66 is best and the stachel idea was adopted some time ago just to soak up any condensation I had a bullet cam in a fridge best water filled cam I came across Nothing is water proof but you can make it weather resistant...

One thing about it the AV range (cpcam) does work well with 3G, even a 4ch standalone like the 503 or 505

Im looking for a discreet cam with local recording ie sd card, which takes pics on motion To be mounted in a tree Something like the crow one with the pir, but I hear there is one with motion detection I heard someone was using in guileposts for councils catching illegal dumpers. Needs to be all in one unit, and battery operated. cheers

Im looking for a discreet cam with local recording ie sd card, which takes pics on motion To be mounted in a tree or guide post to pick up Illegal dumpers and the like, A guy wants one for a gate as the kids keep SUpergluing the locks (200 security lock) LOL

It looks the the lense is not tighened tpo the front of the cam, or its serously out of focus. try refocusing the camera If you think its shaking to much drill and screw a piece or material to the inside of the building and it will make it more stable We do this on dropceilings rather then just screw into gyprock I really think its a focus issue. try and focus it locally at the camera with a small monitor I use a 4" handheld screen, does the job everytime $ 260 off ebay Beats the everfocus tft which blurs in the light.
