  1. Thank you for the reply and the helpful information atari37. I will look into an 8 port PoE switch. Thanks again jonblack
  2. I wanted to bump this thread and see if anyone can help me with the basics of installing more than 4 cameras on an NVR with only 4 PoE ports? Thank you jonblack
  3. Hello everyone. I have lurked on this site for quite a while. Based on the info I learned on this site I purchased the QSee QC808 and 4 720P bullet cameras. http://www.samsclub.com/sams/8-ch-4-cam-nvr-sys-4-hd-720p-ip-bul/prod9130159.ip I also have 2 PTZ cameras that I would like to connect to the NVR. The problem is, I do not know how to connect/configure more than 4 cameras. 1. Panasonic BB-HCM580A (non PoE PTZ IP camera) 2. Toshiba IK-WB15A (PoE PTZ IP camera) My questions are? 1. Do I need to buy a 8 port PoE switch, connect all cameras (including QSee bullet cams) to the switch, connect switch to one of the PoE ports on the QC808, and configure all cameras manually? If so, can you provide more detailed instructions? 2. Will the QC808 allow me to control both PTZ cameras? If so, can you provide instructions on how to accomplish this goal? 3. If you had this equipment, would you set it up another way? For example, would you set the QSee equipment up as Plug N' Play, and use other hardware/software to control and record the PTZ cameras? I am open to options that are easy to understand. SPECIAL NOTE: It would be nice to remotely view/control the PTZ cameras but it is NOT an absolute necessity. I hope I can get this figured out (with your help, of course!). If it is too hard for me to understand I was wondering if I should sell the two PTZ cameras in order to finance a more simple system that I can understand. Thank you for your time and help jonblack
