Hey everyone,
I'm new here, so go easy. I recently installed a fairly basic CCTV setup. One component happened to be a Vitek pinhole board camera. It was fairly easy to set up, but the only problem is that it becomes excessively hot--slightly too hot to touch--when it is operating. I have had some limited experience with CCDs for astronomy and know they run hot, but I'm fairly new to board cameras. Is it normal for them to run this hot? The camera was purchased for the purpose of being installed inside a piece of electronic equipment, and I'm concerned that the temps could be too excessive for that. I have it running off of a fairly generic 12V regulated power supply.
