Is the port not working at all or just not POE? Ports may be shut off check to make sure they are all active in the system.

Yea you can do it as long as you have a pair for each camera. 1 for power and 1 for video transmission. just get a couple UTP converters and slap them on each end. just make sure to ohm out all the cables before you send power through them. thanks

American Dynamics is the brand. If its a basic intellex or an ultra the fix should be the same. you will have to reset the system back to factory. to restart the sistem you will need a paper clip to press the button on the front. hold the button and unplug it. then plug it back in. let the button up. you should be able to reformat the hard drive after it has restarted. go into control panel and then my devices. select the drive or drives and click reformat. this could take up to an hour. hope it helps. if not visit tyco american dynamics on line there will be more information on there. thanks

Id stay away from Arecont Cameras. If you want a nice all in 1 camera go with AXIS Communications. I am a professional in the business and these are by far my favorite camera. I would run with their entire setup. from camera to server and storage. make it simple but sweet. Just my 2 cents
