Okay the NVR is outputting component level audio (if you plugged just a speaker into the RCA jack little or Nothing will transmit) 1. Verify the HDMI extender requires pre-ampd send for XXX distance... 2. Why are you using a Y adapter... 3. Verify the the NVR audio output//Input are not muted. 4. Verify the Camera audio Output//input are not muted Test system on a bench: I would try a 5' piece of cable to jump the raw audio to HDMI extender TX-unit Use a patch cable from the HDMI extender-RX to HDMI-TX>>> did the video and audio pass... if not start with the basics then expand..

I PM'd op as well ... There are costs of doing business, I for one am learning the CALIFORNIA pinch... IRS, board of equalization (ca reseller), insurance, business Lic, federal security clearance, shipping, Certifications, product minimums, etc ... these things add up... Op wanted to know why he got high number quotes.. I would like to say, that I love what I do, I take pride in my work and Do the work the right way the first time..... Unlike most in my service area.... There are a lot of details however that are missing from Op.. Construction type, how long of a run, op own the property (rent, lease)....Existing door-bell, is the infrastructure there to support upgrade unit...(likely hood of a warranty call?) Nothing like the requests for a door-bell unit install " super simple...one story house kitchen i s where I want the Base...front door in where i want the remote at" upon further investigation: solid cement walls, poured concrete pad, and the existing door bell doesnt work....they want the job done for under $250.00 >>>

Cat5 Balun RJ45 wiring question
jjp2014 replied to brian61's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Just caught your PART B. On RJ45 connector you need to list what device your plugging into.... IE a active Balun, camera, etc the device will have a RJ45 Pin out then you just match the wire pair to the assigned pin location and BOUYEA! -

Thank you for the reply, I "qualified" the network and POOOP! it failed all tests including continuity I am now looking into "nanostation m5" wireless bridge option.... Tentatively: (1) NVR unit -Pelco DSSRV-030-US [Main office] (run of Dual CAT6 - 1,650') from guard shack POE switch to Main office NVR 8-Port switch (A. Guard Shack) [Hybrid] >ZONE A: (2) Messoa-SCR515HB (LPR) -Driveway Enter/ Exit {Pelco: NET5402T} Analog to IP encoder (1) Axis: P3364-VE P/n:0299-031 (IP) -Generic shot of driveway (B. Main office) [ Hybrid] >ZONE B: (1) Axis: P3364-VE P/n: 0299-031 (IP) -Cover pool and spa deck area >ZONE C: (2) Messoa-SCR515HB (LPR -Driveway Enter/ Exit {Pelco: NET5402T} Analog to IP encoder (1) Axis: P3364-VE P/n: 0299-031 (IP) -cover generic driveway >ZONE D: (2) Axis: P3364-VE P/n: 0299-031 (IP) -Underground Parking garage drive way Enter/ Exit ____________________ So POE switch at Guard shack and at Main office ...... ? How I mapped it out: Main OFFICE: 8-Port Switch (with POE?) >ZONE A (Guard Shack): (Uses 3 ports of 4) 1 Port POE switch remain [port 4 to Zone A to Main office] >ZONE B: (Pool + SPA area) (uses 1 port of 6) 5 Ports POE switch remain >ZONE C: (Driveway LPR Cams + Dome) (uses 3 ports of 5) 2 Ports POE switch remain >ZONE D: (Garage Domes) (uses 2 ports of 2) 0 Ports POE switch remain DOES THIS MAKE SENSE? Am I missing anything? Looking at: (estimated) 3500' of 1/2 emt conduit 4,500' Cat6 Direct burial 1500' Cat6 Plenum ....... A lot of hours pulling cables and laying conduit.... CLIENT is already working on parking lot so hope the contractor will allow me to lay Underground cable path from guard shack to Main office! :D -

I am working on a Police rescue boat, heavy wave action, hard slams and pitch, roll, Yaw effects on DVR unit. I have replaced 3 Hard-drives so far they started as standard laptop 350gig hard-drive, upgraded to Extreme use 500 gig HD, then upgraded the hard-drive cradle to have more movement suppression, re-mounted the DVR unit into a foam mount.... Lastly I am looking at Solid state drives ... We have a 4 channel DVR designed for Mobile use (dash-cam) We have (2) Garmin mini-golf ball cameras [one to rear of boat one to front of boat] then we have a chart plotter mapped into channel 3 and radar mapped to channel 4. ..... I am not readily by the dvr unit so I dont have exact unit info/ specs. any suggestions?
