  1. I've finally cracked the case (with assistance...)! It was an anti-virus issue. I'm running Avast 2014 version. It's frustrating because Avast didn't throw up any error/blocking messages. I had also excluded Avast from messing with the camera in several places under the Settings tab but this apparently didn't make any difference. Anyway, in case any one else has this issue there is only one way I could find to successfully exclude the IP address... 1. Avast > Settings > Troubleshooting > Redirect Settings 2. In the "Web" section enter the IP address of your camera in the "Ignored addresses" field. Additional addresses can be separated by using a comma. Note: You can disable Avast (temporarily or permanent) and this will fix the issue but obviously you will be unprotected. Thanks for the input guys. Much appreciated.
  2. Thanks for the tip but this didn't help with my issue. I tried a few different network settings but no change. Oh well... I'll keep experimenting.
  3. This issue is really strange. Hikvision aren't being very helpful. They've made a few suggestions but nothing has worked. I've tried a few things myself but no luck. I have managed to view live footage on my Nexus 4 Phone, Nexus 7 Tablet (both using Hikvision App) and Win 7 laptop (using Chome/IE) so I think the Camera is ok. I am leaning towards it being a video card issue on my new Win 8 PC. I am using the onboard Intel graphics chip rather than a discrete video card and I think the Active X calls aren't supported by it. That's my next test anyway. I can't fault the camera and I've tried a number of different browsers (32 and 64 bit) and various setting changes. Let me know if you have any luck. Cheers.
  4. Hi, I have a Hikvision DS-2CD2732F-IS (V5.1.2 build 140116). It is setup and working fine when I connect to it using my Windows 7 laptop (everything works perfectly). However, when I connect to it using my Windows 8.0 (64 bit) PC I can't see any video. I do get the login prompt and can see all menus etc so it is NOT a connection issue. The issue is that video will not display on the Windows 8.0 PC. All I see is a solid grey background anywhere where video would normally display within the web interface. I know you can play/stop live video but it is not that. I have tried different web browsers (Chrome and IE) but get the same problem. I have installed the Webcomponents module and tried reinstalling it. I have tried restarting PC and Camera but no luck. I've also tried using the Quicktime and VLC options but this didn't help either. I have tried compatibility mode and 32 bit IE version but no luck. No reply from Hikvision support at this stage. I have attached a screen pic of the issue. Can anyone confirm they can use this Cam and/or Firmware on Windows 8.0? Can anyone confirm they can use this Cam and/or Firmware with Intel HD Graphics 4600 chip? Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I'm stumped!
  5. I am chasing the same camera and have been having the same problems (Aussie discrimination!). Did you have any luck with Aliexpress?
