Hikvision DS-7604NI-E1/4P Driving me NUTS!!!!
Sasquatch replied to Sasquatch's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Once again, thanks for the help. Yeah,I can't do basic networking setup but I have ALL of my other stuff working. Thats Funny. Just don't reply with your rants unless you have something informative to say. Oh, ok, so you have a new router, are unable to do some basic network config, but it is your NVRs fault. If the NVR gives you an error, maybe you should have stated it on your original post, unless you want people to think that the router is giving that error ("With this new router nothing works...When I add a device it tells me that the IP address is incorrect"). By the way, a modem and a router are two different things. I do guess that what you have (and had) is a router. http://whatismyipaddress.com/router-modem Good luck. -
Hikvision DS-7604NI-E1/4P Driving me NUTS!!!!

Thanks for the reply. It helped alot. Since the NVR is saying the IP is wrong when it isn't is WHY this thread is called what it's called. Since all my other things work properly with the new Modem and the NVR doesn't...hmmmmmm. -
I had a modem go bad the other day and ATT sent me another one to replace it. I had their router set up as a bridge and used my router to send out wireless and use the ethernet ports. I had no issues with it. With this new router nothing works...When I add a device it tells me that the IP address is incorrect, but I have doubled checked numerous times the IP address of what the NVR is. I have forwarded ports, etc. I'm not usre if there is something I'm missing or not. It's been so long,I may have missed something. I set it up as IP/domain under device management under the NVR. I also set up a Hikvsison DDNS last time. The supplied modem/router is 192.168.1.xxx and I have MY router set up as 192.168.0.xxx and it worked fine with the old modem/router. Let me know if you need more info. I'm about to throw it out the window. HELP!

Hikvision NVR.. No access by Wifi.
Sasquatch replied to Sasquatch's topic in General Digital Discussion
Im trying to view them with the Hikvision IVMS app on my tablet. Using the same info that is on my phone on the tablet doesn't work. -
Everything works fine except I can't view cameras over my Wifi. I was told that I needed Nat loop back, but the Archer C9 had a firmware update that allows this. Is this an automatic thing or do I need to change something? I tried the same exact settings that I use on my phone(4g) on the tablet and it doesn't work. Ideas?

HIK IVMS-4200 and IVMS-4500 setup problems
Sasquatch replied to Sasquatch's topic in General Digital Discussion
Woo hoo,got the iVMS-4200 to show video on the pc. I did a reset of my router and it started working. What should I use for the settings under DDNS in the NVR menu? DDNS type? Server address? Domain? Now,how do I configure the Hikvision DDNS on hik-online.com? I thought I had done it right,it says the device is offline. I see there is three things.. 1.Device name 2.Serial 3.HTTP port Thanks -

HIK IVMS-4200 and IVMS-4500 setup problems
Sasquatch replied to Sasquatch's topic in General Digital Discussion
Thanks for the info. The router assigned and ip address, will I use it for my preferred dns server? I'll forward port 2200. I was using 1024. -
I'm not sure what I am doing wrong, but It's probably a setting that I am messing up. I have forwarded all ports(8000,8008,443,1024) that I am using,so I don't think that's the problem, but if I use can>>you>see I am using an NVG-510 router/modem combo supplied by ATT. I am using the Hikvision 4 port NVR with (2) 2332 cameras. I can view video fine on the tv that the NVR is hooked up to and I can also go to hik-online which uses the ip address of the NVR and see video, configure settings, etc. I can not get the IVMS-4200/4500 software to work on the pc of my android device though. I see videos of where the NVR and IP cameras are added to the 4200,but the NVR is the only device showing up on my online network devices on the NVR,there isn't any IP cameras listed. Is it because the cameras are hooked up to the poe on the NVR? Also the link in the Hik DDNS webpage after I registered my NVR doesn't do anything,it just times out. Help me out guys,I have been dealing with this for a few days and I'm at my wits end. If you need any more info, let me know. Thanks

Going to put up two (2) Hikvision DS-2CD2332-I cameras and I am either looking at getting their 4 Poe NVR,but I also want to try Blue iris. I really don't don't what to do. I hear BI can be a resource hog,but I have tried the Demo and I kind of like it. Not sure as to what the minimal specs would be for a build to run (BI) on the two cameras. There isn't any reason that I would need more than two cameras,so I'm thinking the resources wouldn't be as great as say running 4 or more.Am I wrong? Suggestions/advice is appreciated. Thanks

Looking at putting one or two IP cameras to monitor the carport entrance and the front door. I'm not sure which route to take, except I know I want to use Hikvision. I already have the Hikvision DS-7608NI-SE/P coming,so I want to keep it all the same. I want to get a Dome version IP camera. I'm looking at the Hikvision DS-2CD2132-I for both entrances. The carport has an eave that a camera could be put into the corner, and it would be able to see both doors, but I'm not sure what kind of resolution I would get. I can also put one camera at each door, which probably makes the most sense. The mounting point for the carport would be approx. 10ft from the front door. That camera location would actually catch anybody coming onto the carport and going to that door. The front door mounting point would be approx. 5ft. I am thinking about getting a 4.0 lens to give me a narrower filed of view, but more resolution. Should I use a 2.8 on the carport entrance to cover a wider area and the 4.0 on the front door? or just use either a 2.8 or 4.0 on both. What do you think? Should I choose a different lens, etc? If you need more info, let me know. Thanks
