Unbricking your Dahua IP camera (Tips, Tricks & Firmware)
Nathanmf replied to cctv_007's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
you probably reset them...they all have a fixed ip ending in .108...plug one in at a time and change the ip address...so that they wont conflict. I have reset them. IP is .108 however they don't work at all even when plugged in 1 at a time. I was mid writing this when we found out that the cable inside the camera had come out. I will upload pictures later. -
Unbricking your Dahua IP camera (Tips, Tricks & Firmware)
Nathanmf replied to cctv_007's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hey Guys, *Urgent help needed* I am in Papua New Guinea, and I am supposed to fly out tomorrow but I have 5 cameras not working.... I can ping their IP address but in Smart PSS I only see 1192.168.1.108 and Port:0 I have pressed the reset button and they have reset... What confuses me is they were working, then we moved the lenses and they stopped.. 3 of them. I am not sure if it is due to moving the Lenses (how could it be) or plugging my PC into the switch (not sure how this could cause it either). Anyway.... I can see the IR leds on, but the green light to show they are working is off. What I want to know is will this firmware upgrading procedure you have provided work? Or will I need to do something else? Is there something more simple that I am missing? Please whats app me: +61402233316 as I may not be able to get on here while trying to fix this (****ty internet and infrastructure over here). Alternatively if you can post replies here I will be checking back when I get a chance. Thank, Any help is much appreciated. -
Integrating CCTV to a website for Virtual Tours
Nathanmf posted a topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi Guys, Has anyone got any experience taking a snapshot from multiple cameras from a Dahua NVR and putting them onto a Website to create a virtual tour. We would like to take the snapshot daily so that people can see what is and what isn't in stock at any different time. Any Idea or any experiences? Cheers, Nathan -

They will be on an isolated network. But this comment above does not give me any insight into how to achieve what I want to do.. -

Am I able to set it up to take a snapshot from the Cameras (rather than video) So that it can be updated daily? -
Hi Guys, I am going up against some mobotix 360 Degree vision cameras in a quote, Although I could just get my hands on them and do a cheaper price I get the impression that we can do better than 360 domes just by using a couple of cheaper cameras and get more coverage. Can anybody give me a distinct list of pros and cons of 360 cameras vs the run off the mill 2.8mm wide angle lens? Any response would be much appreciated. Cheers

I have a customer who's site is being fired at with what we think is a .22 calibre rifle. We are going to put a ptz near the roadside so that we can zoom in on the location of the person firing and hopefully identify. But we don't want them to be able to simply shoot out the camera. Can anyone recommend a out of the box solution? Does anyone have experience with mounting bulletproof glass around/in front f a ptz? Any recommendations would be much appreciated

Hey Guys, Will this switch be able to handle running 4 2mp cameras (I am not good with networking capabilities and a customer has asked for the cheapest possible system) http://budgetpc.com.au/computer-hardware/networking/switches/tl-sf1008p.html Here is the link

Thanks mate: We are using these IPC-HDB4200C. So it is a power issue and not a bandwidth issue?

Can I send HD-SDI Signal over Wireless?
Nathanmf posted a topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi Guys, Have any of you got any experience sending HD-SDI signal over wireless? -
I have a situation where I have 16 existing cameras with existing cable and want to add 5 new cameras 3 of which I intend on using wireless bridges for and the other 2 I intend on cabling. I want to use the existing cable (as they are not short cable runs) and HD-SDI cameras. Is there a suitable NVR capable of 16 HD-SDI cameras and 8 Ip channels? I like dahua but it seems they have nothing that suits..

LPR Car Access Solution (for entry/exit gate)
Nathanmf posted a topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi Guys, I have a situation where I need to set up license plate recognition for a front entry/exit gate as well as a rear entry/exit gate. Questions: - Can I have it set up so that I can search a plate and it will show me each time and date it entered/exits? - Can I use existing dahua products? - Am I missing anything? -
LPR Car Access Solution (for entry/exit gate)
Nathanmf replied to Nathanmf's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I am downloading the free version right now. Do I need to purchase their NVR? or can I run it on my NVR? -
Hi Guys, Does anyone have any experience with LPR software? Particularly with Dahua Cameras? I am wanting to get a log of every plate going in and out of a gate which tells me the time and date it came in. Preferable with a search function. Any help/further information needed please reply. Cheers
