  1. I am having a intermittent problem where the camera picture displays as green every so often. Anyone come across this?. TIA
  2. Thanks for posting mkkoskin. The conclusion from that thread was: "the laptop graphics card or network card can't handle the image data well" I suppose its possible. I will see if i can replicate it on another PC.
  3. How are you accessing the camera? The text on the screenshot surely does not seem to be the text from a Hik camera. #### That screenshot i posted is from BI. I get the same green preview accessing the hikvision directly via a browser Are you using it with BlueIris? Is BlueIris geting the video feed from the camera with RTSP? If so, I am quite sure that could be the issue. ##### Yes im using BI What firmware does the camera have? ##### 5.1.6. (not hacked). Ive got 2 x (DS-2CD2532F-I) cameras from 2 different sellers both now with this problem.
  4. Hikvision DS-2CD2532F-I (POE) Its in all viewers too (ie browser, BI etc) so its not a viewer issue.
  5. Anyone know what the other variations of this are?. i.e. if its a european or usa etc ie what letters are being used by hikvision.
  6. No thats julias personal hack so she can watch/access your cameras
  7. I'm sure its not the case but ....it looks like you park your car opposite a road junction, you should therefore get some good video when they come and tow your car away
  8. Thanks for posting pics. Always useful to see. You're very fortunate with night lighting, you get some great pics.
  9. You're right!. I checked this on different firmwares even the newest 5.1.6 and all are the same. Not just port 80 either. If you have multiple cameras, as most people do, adding the correct port also works, i.e. h ttp://1.2.3.4:portno/onvif/snapshot Thats bad.
  10. I couldn't see any difference between them. The only onscreen difference i noticed was a build change Firmware Version V5.1.6 build 140412 - OLD Firmware Version V5.1.6 build 140612 - NEW
  11. Its a IO block connector. I recall seeing some videos of it somewhere but you can c a overhead pic here : viewtopic.php?f=19&t=41181&start=15
  12. I have set the cameras sensitivity down to 10 and still the camera goes off at the time of the IR switches. Has anyone found a setting which solves this? ( I need to use the onboard features not BI etc)
  13. Sent them an email. Not hopeful it will be fixed anytime soon since they must have been aware of this before now.
  14. Its a narrow walk way. I have the cameras high enough so they cant be easily reached and one in each direction. If I were to turn them outward away from the wall it would just film the neighbors side yard and not my own. In which case also rotate the camera 90 degrees to give you a narrower field of view, then you can use the software to rotate the image back.
  15. Why cant you turn the camera to cancel out most of the wall?. The current position makes no sense to me. Example:
  16. "I realize pointing it further away from the wall would probably be the obvious fix but would defeat the purpose of this locations needs. " This is the solution. No reason to have so much wall in the shot
  17. Same here. I have mine set to take 6 pictures at 1 second intervals. There is a 4 or 5 second difference between them as shown on the time stamp. I plan to reduce the file size of the images to see if that helps.
  18. So I just ordered 3 x DS-2CD2532 (4mm) from 3 different Aliexpress sellers. Below my 'sales' experience. Fiona. Arrived 7 days from order English version Hauben Arrived 15 days from order English version E&M Security Center Arrived 17 days from order English version *** sent me a 2.8mm version . They acknowledge the mistake was theirs and asked me to return it at my cost. It would cost me $50 with USPS :/ This is the second time a Aliexpress seller has sent me the wrong item. It's frustrating. They should really be forced to pay return shipping when the wrong item is sent. It is good to see U.S. sellers are now 'finally' stocking this camera model.
  19. I have never added a speaker, so i cant recommend a specific product, but you are correct the speaker will need separate power because the camera doesn’t have enough amplification power. I would check out some of dedicated all in one video/audio door products such as: http://www.getdoorbot.com I do wonder how effective a 2532 would be for this task. In my experience people don't usually wait very long at a unanswered door. For me by the time the notification arrived on my phone and i logged in remotely for communication, most people would have gone and i would be talking to myself :/
  20. I'm confident its a print mistake, unless Hikvision have just updated the 2532 camera to include this, highly unlike though imo.
  21. I am not sure what you mean. The 2 screw together. See pic below. Can you perhaps post a photo of your problem you're experiencing?
  22. I think its a mistake. What's the full url where you obtained that screenshot?
  23. There is no inbuilt speaker, only a mic. For them to hear you, you would need to connect a separate/external speaker via one of the IO connectors on the camera. The wifi model also has a Ethernet port. Video and Audio will go through the CAT5e wire Full duplex Attached a couple of photos to help show the connections. Hope this helps
