Hello
I am planning on installing a CCTV system on my home, we have had some trouble with neighborhood kids messing around with our property so I would like to be able to identify them in the recorded video. Here is what I have come up with for a system and I would appreciate your experienced comments on this before I make the purchase.
DVR - Nuvico NVDV3-4000
3 x Sanyo Pan Focus Day/Night VDC-DP7584SH (temps to -20F)
1 x Sanyo PTZ VDC-DP9584SH
500' Siamese cable w/95% copper
BNC connectors
B-tron AC8-2-2 24VAC power panel
Existing 19" VGA monitor
Am I missing any parts that I need to make this work? I believe I will still need to add cable and connectors for the RS-485 control for the cameras but I am not possitive. The specs on the camera board say Coaxial control board, I dont know for sure if that means I do not need another cable to each camera or if the siamese only will control them.
The 3 cameras will need a range of about 30' max
The PTZ will be for looking at different areas depending on what their up to.
Thanks in advance for any advise you can offer.

Do you think I should go to an eight channel and up the number of cameras instead of the PTZ? I figured the three non ptz's would cover the area's they are messing around with, and the PTZ I could set on the 4th access to the property when were not home. When were home and they are running their 4 wheeler and snowmobiles I would be able to pan and zoom on them to get them tresspassing and tearing up the yard.
I know little about surveilance and I expect to have some trial and error in the process, I hope I can reduce some painful monetary mistakes by using the expertice on this forum.
Thanks for the input SecurityMonster
