Hi all,
We are currently debating which Axis cameras to install. I've had two installation companies come out and they both were pretty clueless. I've installed around 75-80 axis/iqinvision/stardot cameras but never in a residential setup. This is for my own house now.
We are trying to keep the cameras discreet, except for our main gate. Here are the locations and the light/mounting style etc, and what I've come up with:
Front Gate - Axis Q1765-LE. Will be mounted approx. 20' from call box.
Front Door - Axis M3026 - low light area
Front Service door - ceiling is arched here, we're not sure how we will be mounting a camera here. Another low light area.
Car Park #1 - need a bullet as the mounting area is small. Even the Q1765 base may be too big
Coach house door - same issue with Front service door, it's arched... still no idea how we will mount here.
Back Door - Flat mounting area, am thinking M3026 again. Another low light area.
Back door #2 (upper lanai), flat mounting area, am thinking M3026, here also.
Lower Lanai - Mobotix 360. Very low light here, however a motion sensor will be connected to the crestron system. If the alarm is armed and motion is detected, lights will turn on. The cable is dead center in the middle of the area (pretty much square shaped).
Now. I've installed 3367-VE's before and they work great, however the M3026-VE's are a little smaller and we're trying to keep these from not 'popping' too much. I can't seem to find an outdoor rated recessed adapter for any axis cameras (why!?).
So how do the P3367 or 3384 work in low light?
My goal is: facial recognition and detail at night mainly, with a low profile.
Thoughts? Sorry it is tough to convey my ideas via text without any blueprints!
